I am in shock. Craigs List is full of nice looking used tables for prices that are way low. A buyer's market in my area.(mid-michigan)
I was thinking of selling my table. But,, at the going rate, I don't think I could give my table away.
$300-$400 will buy a $1000 table,,and $900 will get you a $3000 table. And loaded with $100-$200 tables that need felt.
Unbelievable!!!

18 months ago I searched Craig's list for a few months for a good looking 8.5 foot table. Only found a few that size and I didn't like the style. I ended up having to buy new.

I got my valley in good condition with new rubber and championship cloth delivered for $400. Yeah... It's a buyers market lol

Buyer's market...except for gc 1&2, at least in the northeast.

I've been trolling Craigslist from new jersey to Maine (search tempest is the best thing ever) looking for a good condition gc1 or 2 at a decent price and have found exactly nothing. Tables are either thrashed and priced at $800 or they are in good shape but the sellers want $1800 or $2k. I read all these miracle buy stories and just get depressed....is a good shape all white gc1 for around$1k asking for too much? Apparently it is up here. :(

Homes

Two people , one my brother in law who is a Builder, and the other who his father has the largest Billiard and Game room supply bus.in N. E. Ohio have told me the same thing. When the housing market crashed Pool tables crashed with it.My brother in law said every new home he built from 95thru 05 had some sort of specialty room with it. Some had extravagant wine cellars, Cigar rooms with walk in Humidors and many had rooms built around Pool tables.
The fellow who family sells Pool tables and game supplies said the same thing, when the housing market crashed sales dropped way down.Their are a lot of people selling off their homes and need things like the tables out.
The people looking for tables today are the players, not people who want to have one for decoration. My wife's cousin got a gorgeous old Brunswick which seems to have 2in slate for free from his neighbor who moved and was just going to leave it in the house.I would guess Real Estate agents come across great table deals every day.

I'd suggest you reach out to Jay Speilberg (AZBro A-1 Billiards).

He may either have one on hand for you or make a miracle out of what you think is junk.

craigslist in FL

This year I got a gold crown III for 600. I thought it was a good deal.

Weird, the owner of my local pool hall recommended I give him a call just last night....he must be the man up here. Thanks for the info!

Yeah it's preety much the same in my neck of the woods. I just wish I had the space for more tables. I would get a GC and a bar box!

I'm trying to get rid of my 8' AMF Hanover right now on Craigslist. I listed it for $450 and had one guy come and look at it but he had others he wanted to look at. If it comes down to it I'm going to throw it in the local landfill, I refuse to give it away.

I stumbled on a fantastic deal recently. Somebody on our company classifieds posted an 8' Olhaussen Souther table. They were moving and needed to sell the table but I couldn't believe what they were selling it for. It's a dark chocolate color with olive colored felt. It looks like the felt had never been played on. No chalk marks. No break marks. I don't think the table had more then 2-3 games on it. Rails and frame were in 99% condition, with just a couple of small scuffs. It came with cues, balls and ping pong top and accessories all for $800. I couldn't turn that deal down and I actually offered him $600  I ended up getting it for the full asking price but I wasn't dissapointed in that. Rediculous deal. :D

He is THE MAN. Get it right!;)

haha. Jay is a really good mechanic, and more importantly, human.

Well, I think he is human. But whatever he is, it is preceeded by 'good'.

3 thumbs up he gets, from InI.
