C J Wylie controversy and TOI

The System works for me but i have to adjust each time i play as i don't carry a cue with me as i just grab a house cue. Been using the system on the center shots and use CTE on half ball or more shots, which i know CJ said you ain't using the system if not on all your shots but it works for me.

I am using it on 90% of my shots now but there have been a few that I haven't figured out how to use toi on. I have only been using it on my 10 footer at home and I am very anxious to use it on a bar table and see how it works there with those buckets.

That what i play on about 80% of the time is bar boxes and it makes the table even more easier.

I never knew how heavy a cue ball could feel. You really have to muscle the QB around. Just takes a little getting use to.

I think that on a bar box TOI would be the nutz.

many hours of girls like this

I got to the table the first time last night after watching the TOI PPV twice and parts of it more than that.

Let me tell you I had to exercise some serious self control because two attractive women were playing on the table next to me. I COULD NOT HIT A SHOT using TOI system. The problem being that I was thinking too much and being very mechanical. After an hour of embarrassing the hell out myself and fighting the urge to just go back to spinning the cueball etc, I relaxed and just started letting my natural ability and experience take over but still using the TOI system.

All of a sudden it clicked and I was pocketing balls like crazy. After about 15 minutes of that, I pretty much got into dead stroke shooting all shots with TOI. I was making everything, short shots, long shots, cuts from all angles and even bank shots which really surprised me since I have alway used different spins on banks. I think I missed like 2 or 3 balls in an hour.

That being said, I still have a long way to go but I really like shooting this way. I did notice the girls watching me shoot so I felt somewhat vindicated after watching them shake their head as I was missing alot of easy shots at first.

Just between you and me, the only reason I developed the TOI System was to impress girls.....and it worked wonders. ;) The Inside Touch System is "TITS"

You have described exactly why I always tell players to use the Touch of Inside system for 3 staight hours using ONLY the TOI. From my experience it's rare that someone doesn't "click" in those 3 hours.

Sometimes it's 2, 2.5, and it just seems like it's always close to 3. I practice things like the "no practice stroke" drill and also standing about a foot taller than normal for the same 3 hours and I will just "click" as well.

Great story, I'm glad to hear about another player "clicking" and becoming clearer on the TOI Perception of Play. I will assure you it will lead to many hours of enjoyment, and maybe, just maybe, many hours of girls like this  'The Game is Our Teacher' -

Awwwww,
Mr. CJ, Cut it out.......
Many Regards,

Lock<----- Is going to try it on some girls too!

it's went "full circle," and the Game is still the teacher..... Life's pretty ironic

It's funny how life works out. My teenage mentor, "Omaha John", who was one of the all time best bar table players and actually taught me how to "float" the cue ball (this is the effect of TOI), is now using the TOI Technique and with great success.

John told me in a Face Book message that he should have listened to me more when we were on the road, and I told him "John, you were basically the one that originally showed it to me."

The thing is most champion players can't explain what they're doing. It took me a long time and I had to sacrifice my playing, for teaching to finally "break the code of TOI." That's why I say "The Game is the Teacher," and we are all the students, standing on each other's shoulders to reach the "next level".

This is how life works and the only short cut is through finding a mentor that's been there at the level you're striving to find. Omaha John was one of those players in my life and now it's went "full circle," and the Game is still the teacher..... Life's pretty ironic.

I ordered the ppv the other day and I have to say that toi is the nuts. I never understood why the top players could shoot firm everytime with such control and now I know. I'm an A player who's been on a long plateau, thinking more practice was the only way to get better, but this has opened up a whole new set of position routes and brought my shotmaking up at least a ball, especially when playing on tight equipment.
Thanks for sharing with us, CJ.

You're well on your way, Vic. I can tell right away when someone is actually using the TOI technique because it's hard to hide their amazement.

This is how we do it my friend, the key is we don't just shoot the cue ball at the object ball and try to "hit" a contact point. We use a system that makes every shot seem like it's "straight in". I've described this form months now and many think it's just "too good to be true."

However, when someone actually tries it for the recommended 3 hours they know it's the "real deal". Like I've said many times, I'm just the "messenger," the Game is the Teacher when you learn to use the "Touch" of Inside. Keep us posted on your progress, Vic, TOI allows the game come alive with new possibilities.

I just played straight with TOI and stopped after running 75 (without a miss)....that's the cool part, it works great playing any game. Running balls playing one pocket is easier because you can "stun" the cue ball better and get behind the balls more effectively.

I too just got the ppv yesterday. Got on a table for about an hour and a half today. Wasn't sure I was moving into toi properly but the balls were going in!
One thing I noticed right away was long thin cuts. Those were dropping like magic.

So I'm looking forward to spending more time tomorrow, after watching the videos again. Still not sure when to aim center to center or center to edge. And getting the cue ball to move where I want. Also I would get lazy and pivot instead of moving inside so going to recheck those videos. It is 90 minutes but CJ presents extremely well and the videos are broken down into short segments full of information.

For what it's worth I usually sank 4 to 6 in a row ( usually play 8 ball ) hopefully i'll be able to runout now. Think I'll also try 9 ball just to practice the cue ball control. I love that CJ runs a 9 ball rack explaining as he goes.

Anyway,thank you CJ!

Your welcome and I'm glad to hear about your experience of improvement.

When you move inside, just shift your hand over slightly (it's only a slight movement, I move over and "freeze" my hand so it won't move)...the cue must remain straight, if you pivot you'll undercut the shot and that's not good.

During the time you're calibrating your angles to decide if the shot is aligned to the "Center" or "Edge", just always aim center if you're unclear and if you undercut it simply set it up again and aim Edge.

This process has to happen so your mind starts to know the difference. It won't take long, our subconscious has the ability to do much more difficult tasks. The ironic part about it is an amateur player has to use much more "mental horsepower" to play their level than a champion does.

I really don't have to think much and you'll notice that's why the greatest players have trouble explaining what they're doing. IT's THAT EASY. Using my method of play makes the game considerably easier and I'm glad you're experiencing this for yourself. I'm the messenger, you're the student, and 'The Game is the Teacher' ... Best Regards, CJ Wiley

Can you advise as to when you ordered and received password? I ordered yesterday evening, and still have not received a password. I checked junk mail as well. Emialed CJ but no repsonse as of yet....

Thanks!

Thanks CJ. The movement is much less than I thought. I also found that once I moved I was better if I shot right away and didn't take many practice strokes.

One of the reasons I bought the ppv was from your posts here. You give a tremendous amount of info and I really appreciate it.

I have been using TOI for about 2 weeks now. Its the nutz ! Thanks mucho CJ. Also if you could how about a old road story or two to give us something to read while we're taking a break from TOI practice? I enjoy the old road stories.. Thanks

Yes, I don't advocate "practice strokes," just measuring to the cue ball and concentrating on hitting that precise spot. The target is the cue ball, that's why I don't really "aim" at the object ball and the reason (imo) that most pros can't describe how they aim.

The reason is they "align the cue ball" to the object ball and then make a movement to "create" the angle. This encourages a "feel for the shot," rather than seeing some angle. I've always described how I look at the shot {I"m getting ready to shoot} as "feeling the shot with my eyes."

This amplifies your touch and "feel for the game," which is the "key" that unlocks the door to vast improvement. 'The Game is the Teacher'

Know what I think is weird? A person can blatantly use sex to sell something but if someone admits that they bought it partially to look at that aspect of the presentation they're a pervert and maybe even a child molester.

Funny how PC works. You go Mary!!

JC

Edit: I am very interested in what CJ is teaching but after watching the sample video, I'm frankly concerned about being caught watching Mary running around the table in that outfit by my wife. No pool knowledge is worth half my life's work

I have to agree with the OP. CJ is genuine with his intent to help people learn to play OUR GAME better!

The professionalism he has shown while under fire is second to none! I don't know how many times I have been pissed off FOR him and yet he would come back with something reasonable and professional.

tap tap tap!!

Ken

p.s. Last night was my first night with TOI and can be seen on my stream. Not for those with a weak constitution...be warned :P

CJ is great for pool, AZB too. I'm looking forward to watching TOI. I am this weekend!!!! yay!!! :):)

this is what I wish I had more of, touch/feel. If I play 30-40 hours a week my touch and feel come back good and my game is much better-specifcally speed control.

center to edge

C.J. or whoever knows,
I'm sure you covered this in your preview stuff but I missed it. I might
be the only one on this site that doesn't know what center to edge
means. And shoot every shot like a straight in. When I tried TOI, I just
aimed at the close edge of the pocket with a little inside and hit it firm.
Had pretty good results but reading this C to E and all straight in, I think
maybe what I am doing may not be right. If you explain it on one of the
previews that is still available I would like to see it, while I wait on the
DVD to arrive. I ordered the DVD when it first became available and can
wait for it to arrive but I don't want to. I might be able to trap some sucker before it gets here.
Thanks jack
