4 The Meucci haters ;)

Bob hired people that couldn't do the job they were hired for. How is he not at fault? They were tuning out junk. He owns the company his name is on the cue he's the one that's pocketing the money. You can suck up to Bob all you want and praise him as a pool cue making god. But I know first hand the kind of garbage they were turning out. And the kind of run a round I got trying to get it replaced. Meucci will never see another cent of my money. As for him trying to slow down. I'm sure once the word got out about the drop in his cues quality and his lack of customer service he got what he wanted.

Suck up to Bob, really? Bob is my uncle so I honestly don't have to ''Suck up to Bob" Sounds like you need happy pills lol  JK have a nive evening would ya?

i used to have a gambler, i bought it it used with a warped shaft. no suprise there huh ?
the quality of that cue was great except for the warped shaft. i gotta admit after i straightened out the shaft it i shot better with that stick than any i have owned before or after it.

i traded it even for a brand new predator 1st gen blak 4. i decided i really did not like that predator and gave it to my gf. she shoots better with it than anything else she has shot with. figure that out.

i got my eye on a dragon slayer that has been for sale for a few weeks but cant seem to pull the trigger on it. i just dont think i could find another meucci that played as good as that gambler did.

Makes sense to me......

It does look like he is lol. Look the bad cue building days are over. Modern Meucci's are back on track. When Bob sold the shop in Olive Branch and move the company to Sledge MS that is when it all went south. That is because he had to hire a lot of people because all of his employees did not make the move with him. He hired some idiots that ruin his name to many many folks. Things are different now. The cues coming out of Meucci are amazing. If there is a little cosmetic blemish then it is marked as a 2nd and sold that way. A lot of people don't like that he will mark a 2nd and sell it. But that gives a guy with less money to have the chance to buy a new Meucci. I will not be able to convince every one of the good things that are happening in Meucci these days by my self. I make frequent trips back home and to the Meucci factory. I have watched so many improvements over the past years since they have been at the current location. I think if some people would relax for a minute, see what Meucci is about these days that Meucci would be on top of the cue world again

I shot with one for many years.

I just used one that a student had with a laminated shaft and it played pretty good.

I kind of figured that Bob would have a good laminated shaft.

For years he was the leader in quality and performance.

I'd like to try playing with one again with his laminated shaft. You never know?

Like I said they always did play pretty solid.

How many pros have won ANY tournaments in the past 20 years using a Meucci? You'd be lucky if you could name one. Regardless of reasons, the cue quality suffered greatly...customer service as well. I'm no hater (my first cue was a Meucci, and I still have it), but Meucci is no longer sought after by any professional players. Last summer Bob supposedly "signed" Buddy Hall to promote Meucci cues, but then never followed up with any marketing (the trade show was a month later, and Meucci didn't even have a booth). Suffice it to say that Bob has a TON of production quality values and customer service problems to overcome, and it will take years to overcome, even with everything being "perfect" (as you describe it) now. It took many years to get as bad as it is...it will take years to make the public believe that anything has changed. Even so, Bob was definitely an innovator, and did build some great cues years ago.

wow...one was 20 years a go and the other was like 14 or 15 years a go. No one is playing with that junk unless they're paid to. lol I remember our local pool hall getting them in when things were going bad for the company. He would have to send half of every shipment back. Inlays coming out.. shafts already warped..just terrible. I think they just got to poplar and they wanted to cash in and make as many cues as possible. Also in a time of low deflection shaft nothing had more deflection then meucci. I was always torn at the time between meucci and mcdermott because meucci had great designs but I hated the way they played and most mecermott's were ass ugly but I loved the stiff hit lol

Im not gonna disagree that they have had quality issues in the past 10-15 years, but im used to origonals 1973/1974 - 1984

absolutely...definitely a different cue. It didn't help that for a long while there if you wold try to buy one at places like ozone billiards it would say something like due to the poor quality we are no longer offering meucci cues try this instead. I did start seeing them for sale again at the expo and some sites so maybe the opinion is changing.

Right now my Schon is sitting and I'm playing with a black dot shafted Meucci. I like the black dot shaft better than any other l.d. I have tried! ;)

Really you found two pros in 20 years that used this waste of wood WOW!!!
Efren also use to play with a Meucci. He says he threw it away because it was not good for him. And I do believe he was being sponsored by Meucci when he trashed that cue.. It says a lot that greatest of all time just trashed his Meucci.
