2013 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

Hi there and thank you,
thanks to the many Vid's and advices in the 14-1 forum, I could run a three digit number again.
after 26 Month of starvation, I got lucky again and run 113 on Feb. 12 (Which is double my age plus one)
Sorry, no Vid but i tried to upload the Scorecard, signed and dated by my opponent

... PDF too big, snapshot too big, sry can't get it uploaded, any hints?

You can upload the pic to a free photo service such as photobucket and then pas the link over to here !!

If you want I can do it for you, send me your email in a private message and we will take it from there.

Congrats on the great number

By reading your comment. It sounds like you ran the 113 in a tournament or a league match, is that correct? Congrats on the excellent run.

I'm afraid No, It was a friendly Match w one of my Clubmembers, my Highrun in League/Tournament is 93, back in 2005.

I play/parctice 14-1 a lot, It's a 30+ every nite i go out, 40+ once a week, 50+ once a month, 70+ only once a year.

getting older means that I have to be more patient waiting for the next 100+.... only 2 more years or the next one..

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but due to players being dishonest in the past. We have determine that new players to the Forum must have any runs over 70 be on video. What it comes down too, is that a few have ruined it for many.

Do you have any runs on video in the past over 70? If you can post one, than any run that is close to what ever the number of the run on video will be accepted without a video. Or, paper work from tournaments/league matches that show high runs.
Another way, is if you get someone who is established here on the Forum to vouch for you. Do you know Ratta being that you are from Germany? Good Luck and please do not let this information get you down. We all here are happy to read your comments and hearing about your high runs. This only pertains to the list.

Hi StraightMan, Sorry I haven't any runs on Vid, but your bad new's is no problem to me... I have followed the discussion about "sascha.ing" and agree, that runs should be doc'ed by Vids, I was just proud and happy to have done it again, wanted to share and say thank you to you folks for sharing Vid's and avdices with others.
Maybe, I'll manage to do a captured run n the future.
As addiced to 14-1 as I am, I'll stick to it anyhow,

take care and keep on shooting, Wolfgang

Last week I ran a new high run for the year... 38 (12 + 14 + 12). I still don't have too many takers that want to play some straight pool (plus most of the tables here aren't good for it). I'm hoping to help other catch the bug so I can get some more games in.

Nice run Dennis. Keep up the good work. Heart breaking way to end a run but they all have to come to an end. Some sooner than others..... That's why it is such a great Sport!

Thanks for looking, Mike. My game has gone south and I am working on bringing it back.

I was going to come up and shoot the 6 in the side but thought I had too much angle, so thought I would get above the ball on the rail and then control the cue ball better with that shot to get on the 6. Did not even consider the scratch, which shows how much thought I put into these things.

Well looking at the video, I can tell that you are working your way back the right way. It was a nice run. It is amazing how the cue ball can find the sharpest angles to the side pocket...... If anything, I might of attempted to clip the end of the stack trying to get some balls loose but many times, if one is off just a inch they can get stuck behind the stack.

I agree, Mike. Dennis' run had a bit o' "London Brawling" at points, but I like that -- no deliberation, just accept what happened, hop to it, and get it done.

Nice run, Dennis!
