Stan Shuffett demo: Banking and 9 ball

Beauifull !!!!!!!!!!!
I watched it several times over.
Nice to see Pro One used in an on the table playout example.
Keep them comming Stan.

Very nice! With you and Gerry doing these kind of videos and calling out what your doing is VERY helpful to confirm what I'm doing is correct. I'm sure others feel the same.
Thanks.........................

All the credit goes to Stan - his work has certainly made a huge difference to me. I would suggest that anybody who can reach out for some 1 on 1 time to do so- I just got back and it was the best investment I have made in this foolish game :)

Great videos, Stan. I really did like the ones Gerry posted on the other thread, but my syntax for the system is more like yours. I don't use the word "pivot" when describing or talking about Pro One. "Visual Sweep", in my opinion, is much more easy to grasp conception than pivot.

Anyways, great stuff and thanks for teaching it to me, now nearly 2 years ago.

Thanks for the positive comments.

Just to round things out a little, I will post a run of 28 tonight for straight pool
And call out the visuals and rotation for each shot.

Straight pool

I look forward to posting some of my 14.1 runs in the straight pool forum.

Last Sunday I intended to buy a converter for my runs on tape but bought a HD cam instead. I did get a 72 the second day and will post that run soon. The time issues of uploading are crazy slow at the moment. I will get that worked out.

I am not a straight pool player by any means but I do manage good numbers every now and then.

The purist of the 14.1 fraternity have my utmost respect! What a game!!

Got a new HD camera. Thought I would share a little CTE PRO ONE with you.
Thanks,
Stan

NOW THIS IS SOME GREAT STUFF!!!

JUST WHAT WE CTE LOVERS NEED :D

Thank you Stan, thank you Gerry, beautifull videos and demonstrations.

Those left and right visual sweeps are key, when we learn that, its close to finish line, and demos like this will surely help us get there :)

More videos are always welcome, thank you very much for your efforts!

BEST REGARDS FROM BOSNIA&HERZEGOVINA!

Stan, you should definitely come out with a pro one version 2.0 with more vidoes likes these, it make it so much clearer. good job to you and Gary!

Mr. Stan,

That is great. My intrigue has just been elevated. I know very little about CTE & the manual pivots were confusing to me. When is the new DVD coming out. I know A, B, & C are simplistic for defining purposes. Would it be possible for you to explain them in more finite terms or should I just wait for the new DVD?

I think that camera is going to be a fantastic tool.

Best Regards to You &

Try recording in 720p on your camera, quality is HD and its great, and videos are smaller than when recorded in 1080p like yours, that should speed up your uploads!

It is best to wait on DVD2 and at that time I will put the simplistic view on video for all to see.

Thanks for your continued interest!

I would have to agree. Whether people use pivot, sweet, inside/outside...it takes me a while to interpret what they mean. I'm strictly Pro One. Visual sweeps are quite clear to me. Probably using the wrong side of my brain. Great vids. Looking forward to the new dvd.

Nicely done Stan! I don't care what terminology you use but I would encourage you to decide on ONE single terminology and stick to it to avoid confusion. It's important for the nomenclature to be and remain consistent.

Great videos Stan. I did notice he uses right/left sweep and inside/outside sweep interchangeably. A right sweep is always right-to-left regardless of the cut direction. A left sweep is always left-to-right. An inside sweep is moving inside-to-outside or away from the cut direction, and outside sweep is the opposite. So it kind of depends how you want to explain something, but both terminologies are valid. Once you know it, they are pretty easy to grasp.

Great videos Stan.

After watching the banking I would assume we will see you at the Derby next year. The banks portion of course.

Thanks for the demo.

Terminology

PIVOTS in the truest sense of CTE PRO ONE represent the mechanical movements of one's cue. Manual or mechanical pivoting is primarily for system understanding and can be used for the strict testing of shots.

VISUAL SWEEPS: The eyes move left or right eliminating the need to do a manual pivot.

A SWEEP can be right or left. During any sweep the eyes move right or left.

Rotation is used interchangeably with sweep.

Any SWEEP can be INSIDE or OUTSDE.
INSIDE means the sweep occurs in the direction of the cut.
OUTSIDE means the sweep occurs away from the direction of the cut.

INSIDE means the shot must be thinned up.
OUTSIDE means the shot must be thickened.

Thanks, John!

Bank is probably my most comfortable game. As a young boy who grew up in a Kentucky pool room, I cut my teeth on banking. Bank is an amazing game. I have been playing bank all of my life and am just now gettin' a handle on it.
Well, sort of.

It'd be nice to play at Derby.

Very nice videos Stan!
Good explanations concerning sweeps!

Stan Shuffett

I use a video editing program called Corel Video Studio and it will prepare your videos in a you tube friendly MP4 format ahead of time to reduce file size and uploading time and the time youtube takes to format it once you upload it. I'm sure there's plenty of other programs that will do this too. These are the bottle necks of uploading speed and if you do it ahead of time on your local machine it will speed the process a lot.
