What color is this?

I have always wondered what color combo this linen is sold as. It is not white with green spec. nor black /white. It looks more like light green with black spec? This is a virtually UN-used cue with no chalk or dirt of any kind on the wrap. it came this exact color. I have never seen it offered as an option for Irish linen. It was predominately used on Helmstetter cues, but I have seen it on other cues on rare occasion leading me to believe it was not their exclusive color combo. I have also seen a version with the greenish base and a light brown spec used on older McDermotts. But again, never seen it offered any where as an option either.

I gotta agree, it looks like white with black spec to me, it looks exactly like the old wrap on my old Helmstetter VIP S-6 that I still own, except I had it switched over to a leather wrap.

White with black spec and the sealer changed the color of the white. Was probably caused by Rapid Pad sealer.
 
Different brands of linen have different colors of white. It's probably natural instead of bleached. I have a lb. spool of that color that I got from J&J dist. so it was probably imported from China. I only used it on one cue, didn't like it so I stripped it off and re-did it with w/b from Atlas.

Very little, if any is made in Ireland. Irish linen is linen (table cloths, pillow cases, sheets and such ) that is wove from thread made from flax, a cotton like material but stronger.

Lots of production has moved to China...but I assure that plenty of linen is still made in Ireland....Belgium and other European countries as well. Generally the finer linens still come from there.

Proportional to the total world production, one could see the Irish linen production as small.

I think I gotta go with Alex on this one. I believe that is white with black that has been discolored by the sealer, I've seen that happen quite a few times. I actually like the effect of it, it seems to give the wrap a more "aged" appearance yet is still in new shape....if that makes any sense :)
