Hello;

I was hoping for a clarification on this.

Say, as a hypothetical, pt109 and BlueHog were of the mind to attend SBE. Would they be be allowed to?

In years past, I have seen moosehead bridges for sale there and so naturally I assumed Canadiens could come but I just wanted to make sure.

Also curious, any good steak houses in or close by to Edison? :grin-square:

Seems they could kill two birds with one stone, should they decide to attend.

Any input on this is appreciated. :grinning-moose::grinning-moose::grinning-moose:

best,
brian kc <-----real hungry lately . . .

Brian. let me start by thanking you for the invite to the SBE this year.

And also for the invitation to partake in the free steak dinner.
I can't speak for PT but I am sure that he will or would enjoy his as well.

I take it that you and Sean will be ordering the Crow. I heard its wonderful when in season. I surely hope that it is on the menu as well.

We Canadians usually get our Moose Head bridges from the boxes of Moose Head beer.

I used to hound my Mom to buy cereal that I didn't like just so I could get
a prize. This concept is much better.

Hmmm, wonder if they will ever put a Moose Jumper in their boxes. Probably have to buy the 48 pack to get one of those.

Don't really know if PT is a Travelin Man any longer. I might have the opportunity to be in Toronto in a few months and will have to hunt him up at Shooters.

I don't know, Brian. I've heard some strange things about Canucks:

Q: What is the difference between a Canadian and a canoe?
A: A canoe tips.
(This might be a problem, since they are going to be paying for the meal. We'll have to chip in for that piece, Brian. ;) )

Q: Did you hear about the war between Saskatchewan and Toronto?
A: The Skatchies were lobbing hand grenades; the Torontoans were pulling the pins and throwing them back.
(They have one HECK of an arm!)

Q: What was the original title for "Canadian Idol"?
A: "The Worlds Biggest Hoser"

:p

I think we can chalk some of the misunderstanding to culturally differences. Especially the misconception that all Canadians are boasting, and think they're all A players.

Typical exchange in the Pit
In Toronto, what's your speed?
Eh?

Seriously, we may not get any Canadians at this year's Expo. I don't think there's any Tim Hortons around edison NJ.

Terry, I responded in French 'cause Brian referred to us as 'Canadiens'.
Do they think we're all Quebecois?

I think this is a psychological ploy that Brian and Sean cooked up to confuse
and bemuse us so we can't make a %$#@ ball against them.

Maybe we SHOULD use the Spanish method of responding....as in...
..hey, gringo, whatcha wanna do?...or, hey, Norte Americano, let's jack it.

'course, this plan of attack has some flaws...
...Mexicans refer to Canucks in the same manner
...Mexico is obviously part of North America, so their geography is insane
...'Gringo' derives from the slang for 'Greek'...wtf, don't they know how varied
the makeup of our population actually is?

Although I must confess I had some spanakopita yesterday...
...and I have some half-Greek second cousins.

The borders will be closed

With the dysfunctional congress and president, the borders will be closed due to funding issues.

I wasn't aware of any 'boarder' problem....
...hell, I didn't even see a landlord.

...and we all got problems in the democratic world...I blame it on the Greeks.
On the other hand, I'm glad I don't live in North Korea.

I'm glad I don't live in North Korea.

Why wouldn't Kim Jong Whatever be into billiards ?

I bet a guy with pool skills (possibly, like you . . . .) could walk into his palace . . . . . and blow his freakin' mind !

And after you do that . . . .you are "in".

Kim gets addicted to cue sports . . . . . . . you are his guru . . . .

Heck . . . . it's only a matter of time before he's asking you for goobermental advice . . . . .

Well, count one Québécois and his wife in the attendee list. NYC is about 6 hour drive away... Add an extra 45 minutes to get to Edison and you're there.

As long as there are customs office to let us through, we're good. Hopefully there's still a little bit of govt funding to pay these poor souls.

Cheers

Ah, an actual real-life Canadien shows up.:wave3:
Comment ca va?

What position do you play?
Jean Belliveau is my favorite all-time team captain.

I think the citizens of our 51st state should have the same rights to travel as the other 50 states.
I do make an exception for Terry. We are watching you. :grinning-moose:

Me too.

Big Jean Béliveau . . . .

The Statesman of Hockey . . . . . "Le Gros Bille"

I thought that meant "The Big Nose" but it turns out to mean "The Big Ball" . . . . what's up with that? I figured it out, it's a play on his last name pronouced bill-i-voe, so bille sounds the same . . . . .

He was super cool . . . . on the ice, directing The Habs, or off the ice dealing with the public.

We Canudlians even wanted him to be our representative to the British Commonwealth; but he wisely said **** that (my words) "shit man; I was a leader on the ice, but this global power bullshit is nothing that I want to dirty my hands in".
