new addition to the shop
wifie saw this on hgtv
so we got one for the patio umbrella
long story short , it was defective, the locking mechanism for one of the arms wasnt holding it up to engage the switch
they sent me another to replace it and i was to send this one back

i said to myself,
:idea2:
"self, you can fix that and put it in the shop over the lathe"
they let me have it for $62 , reg price is $109 free shipping
really puts out the heat, works great!

so to all my buds that stop by occasionally,
be warned, call first or you could find me in the shop working in a speedo and drinking an umbrella drink

Sweeeeet. Nice score for the shop. Although it has been kinda cold here for the last few weeks, it doesn't really get cold enough for me to even putr heat in my shop.

Now A/C is a whole different story !!!!!!!!

anything under 70 degrees is COLD to me
i must be getting old, i'm freezing my ass off all the time

LOL, It was 40 when I left the house but will warm up close to 70 today. I'm in shorts and a tee shirt BUT I do work inside so it's nice and comfy in our shop.

Lol, is that a drillbit holding it in place?
I have something similar in my bathroom over the mirror,
at 1500 watts it does get quite toasty.

it clamps on, but i though a stop might be a good idea

hi there bart,
i turn it off, as i do my electric furnace
What? You call yourself a man? Lol. When i sprayed clear coat, i lit my torches and gave it hell! I knew when i heard the boom and felt my eyebrows get singed, it was hot enough in there. Lol. Note to self: self, dont go to Brents shop and be scarred for life by seeing him in a speedo! Lol. Nice heater man.

LOL:p
i forgot to mention there's 2 switches on this
so that one, two or all three can be used

If he's not careful he may grill a Brent!!!

Dick

i've got it plugged in with main lights
it's only on when i'm in shop

being how my electric fake fireplace heater in the house blew up last nite,
smoke rolling out of it :(,
im considering putting one of these in my living room,
right above "my side" of the couch
diane has to get her own :D

I brought an infra red heater for my shop for last winter. It was well worth it.
It was just like standing in the sun. The only problem was I brought the bigger unit and on reflection should have got the smaller one.
