Pantograph

I have no dog in this hunt and honestly, I have no interest in your machine.
My only interest here is in supporting good business in this community.
You don't have to search very long to see numerous instances where a lot of these guys have been taken.
All they're asking for is to see a pic of the actual machine.
I don't think they want to copy the design.

Your continued resistance to showing an actual pic has opened the door to suspicion.
You may have already condemned your own sale.
Name-dropping won't sell this machine.
Upfront honesty and openness yet may.
IS THERE SOME COMPELLING REASON YOU CAN'T PROVIDE A PIC???

GLWS, KJ

Sorry KJ. We both must have been putting about the same points on paper at about the same time.

Exactly as I was trying to say, I wasn't trying to be negative, but just trying to point that out. You put it better,....I don't have the tackfullness as you do..I tend to be too blunt..lol

I don't get it at all

How are there not pictures posted on here of this machine yet ? He can take multiple pictures of these plates, yet not one picture of the machine itself ? He has been trying to sell this on here for a couple years now.. And, put it on ebay, still no pictures of the machine, not anywhere. He can post a scanned or internet image of the manual for the machine, but not a picture of the machine He's been asked multiple times to post one, and nothing...

I hope I'm not the only one that has come to the conclusion of, THERE IS NO MACHINE! There can't be... No way could this whole thing go on without any pictures being posted anywhere.. It's not even possible. For all the effort put forth to sell this, posting tons of times on here, placing ebay ads and still.... no picture.. The only answer is there is no machine to take a picture of, and if he posts a pic he found online, it would be found out immediately because of google image search... It's not easy to scam an informed community like this.. This thread just needs to die, let the thief drift away....

i am buying the hightower because i know what iam gonna get a simple picture is alot to ask . just because it was arts does not mean it is not a rusty turd and it might be 1700 and u dont get to see it ????????????

You guys Know this is a deal of a life time. All these plates are worth 10 times more then asking price. One or two of you guys are so hung up on photos you are not seeing through your stuburness. A deal is a deal and Barry himself can vouch for this machine. The only one blowing smoke are the lonely ones that have no interest in buying it anyway.

"You guys Know this is a deal of a life time"

Apparently not... I'm just sayin'.

I think it is most likely there is a machine just as described.

However, tho I don't think it would be appropriate to go into detail,
anyone who is even vaguely familiar with current methods understands
why this machine hasn't sold thru AZB... and never will - IMHO

Patograph

Here is the answer to all you smart AZer's out there. Barry himself was involved with the deal. Besides, you guys are compairing this to a 100 cue which could be shipped in the mail. To make it simple- You have to pick up the machine-- yes see it , touch it , smell it ,etc. before the exchange of any money. It is very simple O and don't let me forget this, a phone call is out of the question. You can complain about this listing over and over again but not call once. These are the people we have to deal with. What a shame. To bad blocks can't be put on these intruders.

Joe,

I hope my legit offer of 1K for the patterns was not taken bad. I just have no use for the expence of moving the machine.

He's been trying to sell this panto for 15 months with no pictures of the thing.

With respect to his name dropping of Barry, the man's attitude and demeanor speaks for itself.

Anyone willing to travel to New York is free to smell the actual machine.......

I believe he sold his other machines(WITH PICTURES), but somehow would rather bash potential buyers than take an actual picture.

Joe. I have no intent on ever dealing with you, so slander away. If you would rather be a jerk than take a little bit of advice and actually sell the thing, so be it.

Tom just made you an offer on the items you actually took pictures of and he is a good guy.

A pantograph which upsets an Azer OH Well

Some people will just not go away.No body cares what you have to say. Go away and complain about someone else. Talk about your 100 dollar cue to your Avitar Leave this alone. Intruder Alert Intruder Alert. He is actually crying about photographs. Someone offer this nuisance a tissue.

I have never assumed you were a crook - and Barry is certainly a stand up
guy. But, his involvement is of no relevance what so ever. Nor is the price
you paid, nor who owned it originally.

Barry's dad used a pantograph, do you think he could sell it today?

The market moved on years ago.

Explaining my self to the smarts

So here is some information for you. Some of the top cue makers today are using this machine or something similar. Yes a pantograph. So you really don't know much about cues or cue makers. I was fortunate to go to some of their shops and see this for my self. Why do you think I bought this machine? So I could be the only one with it? CNC - computer production cues Pantograph is more hands on Old school More value when the right cue maker is using it.

I'd like to know how many top guys use a panto. I think Tad might still have one.

You had this for 7 months and then sold everything. How many cues did you inlay with it?

He is somewhat right - many "top" cuemakers have been at it for decades.
I'm sure some of them are also ludites with an 'if it ain't broke..." attitude.
But none of that matters even a little bit.

If Gus were still making cues, he would likely still be using his panto.
I assume, Barry uses a panto, I never saw any CNC in his old shop,
but that was many moons ago.

I think my level of understanding could be classified as considerably
more than 'not much'.

But who's counting?

Interesting. I know McWorter had one, but has embraced CNC for many years now. Beyond the ability to create patterns on a computer at home, he pointed out it saves his body from the aches and pains of bending over machines for countless hours.

He then sold it to Judd.
Nitti and Showman still use them afaik.
I don't know about Tascarella.

Im the cuemaker from Michigan ( Dan Lynch ) who bought all of Art's wood from Barry several years ago. I am also interested in all the patterns but not the machine. If you are willing to sell them separately, PM me the details of what you want for all of them, all or some. Thanks
