Pool movies?

The hustler. Color of money. Baltimore bullet. The Baron and the kid. Poolhall junkies. Basically it lol

Has anyone seen "Turn the River" (I think is the name) with Famke Jansen?

Any good? I notice it is the only other pool movie that I can think of that wasn't mentioned.

Turn the River is beyond horrible!!!!!! Just my opinion tho

A vid store might have Color of Money these days. Poolhall Junkies maybe

Best buy be a better chance... Or just buy all of them on ebay or amazon!

The hustler. Then watch color of money. Two best ones. Baron and the Kid with Johnny Cash is quite good IMO

The list begins and ends with The Hustler...and it isn't even a pool movie, pool just happens to be the backdrop against which they formed a great story.

dld

Yep. It's 'The Hustler', and forget the rest. 'The Color of Money' won what was a 'lifetime achievement' Oscar for Paul Newman, but, as a pool player, it's 'The Hustler', and nothing else so far.

Watch it and see what you think. Not saying it's bad-it won Oscars for Christ's sake-IMO, it's not worthy of 'The Hustler'. I hate 'The Color of Money' for the way it portrays pool. "'The Hustler' made me proud to be a pool player, and 'The Color of Money', not so much. I guess it might just be me.

I couldn't even get halfway through that floater...and I watched all of 'Stick Men'.

To each their own, but I'd think if you could finish Stickmen then anything would be bearable. I tried to watch it and couldn't. Maybe I just got annoyed by the accents though.
