I would not go to Russia for Chalk, use Master's chalk or any other general brand, place few pieces in the fridge for a day or two. This will soften the chalk and make it apply rich thick layer of chalk on the tip. Only issue, you have to experiment with the length of time to keep in the fridge, i find by accident two pieces of Master chalk in my basement, under the table, when i used them i was shocked of how good my tip looked, but in winter they dry out a little.

Magic Chalk is great! I've been using it for while now and I definitely like it alot more than Master. Even though I do admit Master chalk is good. I got mine through a fellow AZ'er Montana Mike. He usually only likes to sell in bulk but if you make it worth his while maybe he'll ship you 10 or so next time he runs to the post office. You'll be happy if you're lucky enough to get some of this stuff :grin-square:

Folks, when a multi-time national champ is looking for a specific brand of chalk, how about not giving advice on what chalk to use and instead answer if you've got an answer?

Freddie <~~~ the advice applies to non-national champs too

I have some. Please PM. I have never had anyone tell me it is not good chalk. For the price best on the market.

Did you even read his post?? He is looking for Magic Chalk to buy and use. Not for your useless advice on what kind to use.

I use magic chalk exclusively. I'd let you have some but I think I have only 4 left.

I did not know Old Macdonald was a pool champ, thought he just had this farm.

You must know who uses this screen name.

He is a SHE...

Fred is correct...she has enough of those cougar trophies to cover a half dozen mantels...and is a class act to boot!

Funny thing about Magic Chalk is a girl turned me onto to it several years ago. In turn I gave some to Ted Antle and Chicago RJ and they both swear by it now. You can learn something from the ladies if you'll only listen. PS the gal that told me about it was non other than Mary Avina who you see now with CJ Wiley.. Thnx Mary!

Yep, and I admit, I don't make changes easily. The cube of chalk cuesports gave me sat in my basement for a few months, until one day, I decided to give it a whirl, and NEVER went back to anything else.....

It's like crack for pool players, only cheaper :)

magic chalk

I'm looking to buy a gross or however it comes. And yes it is like crack, I feel confident when I use it.

I am not carrying it anymore and don't know of any US suppliers who are carrying it. I sold the last batch I had to Tedantle, Aadamcyzk, and Poolchady. They would be the guys to contact for any. I don't know of any others who have stock remaining.

I do know her name, but it's a posting pet peeve of mine when someone asks a very specific question on a brand and the question gets that derailing advice on some other brand.

Anyway, I don't think it's a secret. Tammie Jones wins national championships like they're going out of style. Apparently, Magic Chalk is part of her recipe.
