He looked at me, and smiled after making five in a row and said....................

Funny cj cannot even respond to JCIN's post. lol

Did someone ask a question??? My "duty" called for a few hours, and I'm keeping late hours making a new TOI BANKING SYSTEM VIDEO. It's what Lou and duckie have been waiting for, now in "Living HD Color".

I just gave a three hour lesson to a couple of guys on the "finer points" of the TOI Technique. I've noticed it's common to follow through too much and move the shoulder. This seems to be "common advice" (on the street) that you must follow through, while the contrary is more accurate.

After getting the gentleman aligned properly, and his body in the appropriate position, I gave him a ten pound sword and had him use it like a pool cue. I saw the light go on, however, still dimly, so I showed him how the wrist and hand produces all the power you need with very little effort......the light became brighter.....then I showed how to beat the ghost playing 10 Ball with a Jump Cue.

He grabbed his cue and started hitting the balls in, however, in a much "different way" than before. He looked at me and smiled after making five in a row and said "with the touch of inside it's {the Stroke} like shooting a stop shot every time no matter what the angle is".

Yes, indeed, what could be easier? TOI is the same shot over and over allowing the Game to play. The common issue with amateur players (that I see) is they make the Game MUCH too difficult because of things they have been told or "thought" they saw.

Improving dramatically is always about doing "less," not "more". 'The Inside Game is the Teacher' www.cjwiley.com

I believe it benefits those in business to get along with everybody. I recently worked on a project pertaining to success in business and what distinguishes one company from another who sell the same product.

It is important to maintain *and* develop or even establish relationships, and instead of saying "thank you," the advice is to respond to your clients how much you really enjoy doing what you're doing, even if the customer you are serving sucks. When you relay that you love what you are doing, it influences customer attitude. Customers want to work with those who exhibit a positive demeanor.

When the threads get a little heated, I see C.J. maintaining his composure. To me, he seems to enjoy what he's doing, and by exhibiting a positive demeanor, it does influence how I feel about him. I don't care about TOI or his instructional DVDs he has for sale that has people up in arms. I enjoy reading his posts because of his upbeat attitude. I especially enjoy the vintage pictures and pool tales. To each their own.

Would I want to see C.J. compete today? Sure, I would. I like his style. I guess he influenced my attitude by staying positive, even when under attack. :)

Seems like it would be a good idea to let by gones be gones here for the sake of business and for the TAR viewers that want to see it. It's been 6 years. Does Accu-Stat still have nothing to do with Earl because he refused to go on stream table many years ago? Johnnyt

Scary, really scary !

I rarely post here, and this thread is a perfect example of WHY !... It reminds me of the way ALL threads, used to deteriorate into abusive, shouting matches..BEFORE we got "Aiming Threads" banished (supposedly) to their own forum..!

See if you can identify all the major players, by me giving ONLY a thumbnail sketch of THEIR agenda !

Thread participant #1.. A nice enough fellow, (though he doth brag a bit) who has cleverly found a way to circumvent, the banning of 'aiming system's' from the main forum. (fortunately, for him, the normally 'super sharp' mod's, have not noticed)

#2..A very intelligent sounding, major force, in the streaming business, who obviously is not fond of participant #1 !

#3..Our resident "Shakespear" who writes, and tells, great stories. But, also likes to piss people off, even though he is a top notch PR man..(He incidentally, also does not care for participant #1.(or #4)

#4..A cue case maker, (based in China) who will do ANYTHING to agraivate participant #3..Including turning ANYONE with a NEW "aiming system" into an actual "GOD".

#5..A very nice lady, who all too frequently, enters (uninvited) into topic's, which were 'old news' when her better half was a teen-ager.

#6..The largest catagory, by far, Is ALL the garden variety, AZ interloper's (troll's if you will) who don't have a frigging clue, what they are talking about..nor, how to intelligently express themselves in case they do !..They just HAVE to be involved !

Respondents who participate, may PM me with their answers..The winner will recieve FREE one pocket lessons for life ! (mine, not yours !) Second place winner, will recieve a copy of Alfie Taylors, "The Other Side of the Road" (if he hasn't given them all away ?)..All other finalist's will recieve JoeyA's new best selling book, "How Aimiing Systems Have Made My Life Complete". (earliest post mark wins !)

SJD <---Has a lot of spare time  But remember "The game is the Treachery" (or something like that ?)

I got your "teenager" swinging.

Slow day at OnePocket-dot-org?

I have never and will never play in a ring game for 3k, so it definitely wasn't me

The first stream we ever did was at Dan Tull's place for his $3K entry ring game in July 2007. We had no clue what we were doing. We unpacked the video gear from B&H on site. First time ever using it. To my knowledge it was the first live tournament pool stream on Ustream. It was completely free. We were like kids at Christmas we were so excited just to be there. I sold a $1500 personal camera lens to pay my way there. Nasty and I shared a room for the first and only time. He snored at a decibel level equal to that of a Boeing 737 at take off.

One player in the field adamantly refused to play on the free stream unless he was paid upfront. If everyone would of taken that attitude we probably would have packed it in right there but only one guy did. Since then we have paid players well over $100K in fees for playing in PPV matches after we built our skills and a following through the free streaming.

We will pay out probably another $50,000 this year alone. After you figure in all the hotel rooms we pay for this year that means we will be close to what CSI, Diamond and Turning Stone add. The only difference is a player is 100% guaranteed to cash in a TAR event. Because some guys in the beginning gave us a chance to get started.

Do you remember who the guy was who refused to play on the free stream? I do.

We managed to survive without you when we needed help. Now that we don't I see no reason to give you a platform for an infomercial. The game is the teacher.

So are you trying to say that was me (without saying my name) when you know it wasn't? I'm not sure what game you're playing, but it's childish and immature! :nono:

I have never and will never played in a ring game for 3k, so it definitely couldn't have been me. I'm not sure why you don't like me, and it's none of my business, we met one time as far as I can remember and I heard you were around Indiana, but we've never had any business dealings.

The only time I was at Dan Tull's place was to play in some kind of a bar table ring game format on BarTables, but I was there for the action and went out "peacefully" in the tournament (I was with Big John, he doesn't like me winning tournament matches so he "sharks me").

We did win some gambling matches though, including Dan Tull himself (I gave him the 5/7 and the last 5 playing 10 Ball). Dan and I have been friends for many years and I would do anything to help his tournaments.

When I ran the Professional CueSports Association we had one of our big TV Events at Dan's place and Mika and Jose Parica played in the finals.

Here's a "old classic" picture of that tournament at Dan Tull's place giving Mika his trophy with Jose Parica smiling a "winners smile". This event was produced and directed for TV and we still have it "in the can" do to a discrepancy with the Executive Producer and the Station.

We could see he was clearly on a path to becoming a Champion Player.

Cool picture. Look at Mika with those suspenders. LOL :D

I think he was 21 and a "very determined" young man. This was his best finish in a major tournament at that time in the United States. We could see he was clearly on a path to becoming a Champion Player.

You know, he looks a little like a young Paul Newman in that picture.

a two hour conversation with Mark Griffin on the Phone and really respect him

It's too bad because I've had a two hour conversation with Mark Griffin

on the Phone and really respect him and his business mind. We are both from the hospitality industry so we could relate on a mutual "customer service" level.

I'm not sure what's going on with this other guy, he's clearly bitter and resentful. I hope it makes him relieved to feel that way, we all have the right to feel how we choose.

So this is interesting. Either JCIN was referring to someone else or CJ is *mistaken*.

Seriously ... time for popcorn.

PULEEEEEEEZE Jam !... I accepted your angry reply (I thought I was being nice:o !)...However, now you are insulting one of my heroes...That picture of Mika, in CJ's post #86 http://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=4072196&postcount=86 ... Looks a Hell of a lot MORE like Paul Ruebens (aka, Pee Wee Herman)..than it does Paul Newman....Find ONE person to disagree with that, I'll give you my house ! ...I mean, the old, "if you can't say anything nice" addage, can only go so far..

PS..You also caused many people to miss this IMPORTANT observation..http://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=4072192&postcount=84 :)

I may set a 20 hour time limit when I"m 70 or 80, who knows. ;)

I will assure you I will never play in a ring game for a thousand, let alone 3 thousand. That's not my forte, {ring games, I hate them with a passion}, I play head's up gambling matches and I DO NOT set time limits. If you want to play me a race to 100, you have to be prepared to go the distance. I want it to be brutal, with blood, sweat, and all the cash on the table when we're finished.

We come from a different period of this Game, a time when you had to play for days in a row to truly beat someone. Eight hour time limits are great......when you're over 60, and I understand this, who knows I may set a 20 hour time limit when I"m 70 or 80. The Inner Game is the Teacher www.cjwiley.com. ;)

I would like to see him play one of the top 5 guys in pool today. If he wins, I give my word to buy the TOI video.

Lol, I won't do anything to aggravate Louie. I simply respond when he makes comments I disagree with. Simple back and forth conversation. He is after giving his opinion and I give mine.

As I am an APA3 to you so is Lou and APA3 to CJ. I don't know how big a spot CJ could give to Lou in one pocket and still win but I suspect it would an embarrassing one for Lou.

And FTR Lou's road stories are far less entertaining than CJ's. In a forum about pool the pool champion is more welcome than the most eloquent knocker in my opinion.
