But look at the right side in particular ...the ferrule isn't flush with the shaft.
Within the resolution of the photo and reproduction it is flush. Note that my scan shows the actual printing halftone pattern. The left side does appear flush. Also, note the fiber pad between the tip and ferrule. I don't think slip-ons normally have those.

OK, lets put it down to the quality of the printing.

And that's not real flame coming of of those bills either!!!

What the... Right, that's it. I'm cancelling my subscription* to Billiards Digest right now!!!

*which I don't have

Nice video !! Earl has always been amazing on those wing shots.

As far as who plays Earl in the movie, It's coming right?, I like Edward Norton. I think he could capture Earl well.

Why can't Earl play Earl? He's pretty much one of a kind. Also, Ed Norton, Jim Carrey, and Mel Gibson look nothing like him. Now Joe Rogan may not look much like him either but after seeing his impersonation I could vote for Joe Rogan. He captured the voice, mannerisms, and attitude quite well.

Yes, it's even difficult at times for Earl to play Earl

Earl IS an actor. Would kick so much ass to have him play himself.

Yes, it's even difficult at times for Earl to play Earl....how could anyone else do it? They certainly didn't make a mold or at least didn't keep the "Earl Model".

If an actor could pull it off he'd win an Academy Award that year. imho

Earl IS an actor.

Except he isn't ...I mean, much as I enjoy lampooning the fellow, I can at least say that he seems sincere.

He may be an immature paranoid rude childish idiot, but at least he is for real, as far as I can tell. :)

If any big name actor gets to play earl in any pool movie I think we can collectively all agree that it is pretty friggen awesome it is even getting made.

Joe Rogan would be a good choice but he'd need to lose a few pounds:)

Since I run 11 racks of 9 ball on a regular basis, I would be more than happy to offer my services and volunteer for the role.

I can see that

Earl is sort of a Lloyd Christmas with an invisible Harry Dunne poking fun at him. Jim Carrey would have a blast with this role. :)

I can see that

Yup ... it is awesome if it really gets made. Hope it gets made, but more importantly that it is somewhat successful and gets some mainstream attention.

I'm still waiting to see "9-Ball the Movie".

Bump.

How's this going? Can't wait for this full story to be released.

If it in fact went down like they said, man what a fkn story!

How could this not appeal to general sports fans?

just need to interview Earl's x wife and a couple people that live here in Dallas.

We got half this mostly done, just need to interview Earl's x wife and a couple people that live here in Dallas. The Earl Strickland interview is the best I could ever hope for. I interviewed him, so he got a lot of detailed questions about many of his keys to playing well enough to accomplish such as incredible feat.

I'm planning a trip to North Carolina in two weeks to interview Lisa, take care of a cue company business and then we can complete it asap.

Cast and crew for this movie:
Earl Strickland= Kevin Consner
Insurance rep= Morgan Freeman
Score keeper(at the end of the movie)= Earl himself,,and ,at the end,, the camera shows him updating the final score,,he winks at the camera!!! lol

Who else??
