Just curious, why are you trying to remove a McD 3/8x10 pin?
The reason I ask is because this pin is one of the hardest to remove from a McD cue.
If it's not absolutely necessary to remove the pin I wouldn't.

The easiest way to fix is to put in lathe and get the cue running straight and take a rubber mallet and tap the pin straight. Sometimes the face also takes a hit especially if the shaft was screwed on when it got bent so the cue must be refaced.
Doing it this way keeps the collars from swelling from the heat you put on the pin. I only replace the pin if straighting it does not work which is almost never.
