Does anybody know where I can play on a Diamond? I live in Taunton Mass. Can't find anything at all.

I've been fighting this fight for a while hehe.

The Billiard Cafe in Ayer put in a new Diamond 7' table in the back room, but it's a ways up from Taunton.

I believe there are still a couple of Diamond Professional tables in the lower section at World Class in Peabody. You might need to work around the leagues to get table time. Since Peabody is a bit of distance, you might want to call ahead.

If they are Diamonds at World Class, they are pretty old models -- not much like the Diamonds now seen at so many major tournaments, so I am not sure that is going to help you...

The Diamonds at World Class are the old 3 piece slate models. My friend Joe is opening up a new place in Danvers, MA with the new tournament edition Diamonds. I believe he's going to have around 12-15. It should be opening up around the last week of October-1st week of November When It gets closer to the grand opening I'm going to see if he'll allow me to take some pictures and I'll post them on here.

I hope Joe doesn't keep the opening a secret.

We still need someone to open a place in Chelmsford to replace Country Club! New Diamond Pro-Ams would be great there, too.

Nice, glad it's happening, although 60 miles from me.

When they open have a nice tournament with real races, at least 5-7, would be worth a drive for that.

I too would drive to this new pool room for a tournament. I have never played on a Diamond I only ever play on the old Brunswicks at Ivory Billiards. They do however keep the tables playing perfectly with Simons 860 so I guess I'm a bit spoiled in that regard.

It is now the last week in November. Did this place open yet? Any news of progress?

I'm interested to know about the new place too. For what its worth, a private club in Lowell called Club Passe Temps has a new Diamond Pro in excellent shape. You can be a member there for $20 a year!! They also have 2 Gold Crowns, but not nearly as nice. The only downer is the smoke. I pretty much never go there for this reason.

Did this place in Danvers ever open?

Nope, not open. There is a new place in Malden called Amazin Billiards, but no Diamond tables there.http://amazinbilliards.com/ Not much info on the site about the room, from what a friend of mine told me, there is a monthly membership fee to play there, along with the table time cost.

Outside of the private club Kerry posted, there is a 7 foot new Diamond in The Billiard Cafe back room in Ayer.
