Morgan Freeman

Sometimes I think folks don't read the entire thread. It is great so many people are trying to be helpful, though. :p

Some of the information repeated on this last page has already been posted previously in this thread. :embarrassed2:

I am guilty myself of sometimes only reading the last page and not going to the beginning of a thread. ;)

It happens JAM. We're all guilty of it from time to time. I appreciate everyone making the effort, especially on the petition that I started.

If you did sign the petition, and you get the opportunity, please share the petition with those who love pool as we do. The more that sign the petition the better chance we have or reaching Mr. Freeman.

One FB pal is giving me hope. It's not April 1 is it?

In fact, come to think of it, share the petition with your entire email contact directory. Just remember to put all of the email addresses in the Bcc: area instead of the To:

a real long shot but it would be awesome ...

Have Freeman do a narrative of Efren...

I still cant figure out why some sports program has not done one by now. Guy plain and simple was the best around and lived right. Supported something like 45 people and was a massive star in billiards and especially in the Philippines.

How awesome would it be for Freemans voice to be the voice over for a Reyes Documentary

I signed it Joey! Go get em!
Thanks John.

Signed the petition
Thanks Boradriver

Freeman's voice would sound great even if he were reciting a recipe.

ground zero in memphis

Why not patronize his club after watching some fine pool playing. I hope it is still open. Closer than Clarksdale. Great idea Joey. This is going to be a great tournament regardless and I hope to be there.

Wow!! This sounds like a great idea... I hope it works out for ya. Does anyone know Halle Berry's contact information? just sayin.

Reaching for the Stars.............

Signed it Joey. Good Luck!!

Thanks!
142 signed up so far.

Hope it continues.

If you haven't read the "reasons" that the signers wrote, you should. There are some awesome responses by industry leaders as well as the minions of AZB and Facebook.

Thanks to all that signed up to support the cause.

While I don't know if Mr. Freeman will respond, I KNOW that if the responses keep coming in, he will take notice if he has not already done so.

I really think that he would be a boon to pool, a B-12 shot for the LiveStream and the Ultimate 10 Ball Championship, especially if I knew before hand that he was going to drop by for a match or two.

Also, if he really wanted to ask questions about the inside workings of pool as it is today, THIS would be the place to do it. Who knows, he might even get an idea for a movie for pool.

Best........

I don't facebook. Least I can do is give this a nudge for those that do!

What a nudge!

I just received a personal email back this morning from one of Morgan Freeman's closest friends and he promised to forward the information to Morgan.

Yee-Hawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Ok, I realize I'm still reaching for the stars but it will be fine no matter how it turns out. I give my best effort and that's all I can ask of myself.

If Morgan Freeman agrees to do pool commentary with me, it would be kind of like winning the lottery and having all of the pool industry to immediately share my winnings with.

If Morgan can't/won't do it, another awesome, unique voice is James Earl Jones.

But anyway, that's good news on the progress JoeyA!

If Morgan and JEJ are both a no go, give me a call Joey. I've often been told I have a voice for radio... to which I reply, and a face too!

There are lots of famous and interesting people that I could think of to spend time with in the commentary booth but NONE of them live 14 miles from the event, like Mr. Freeman.

His costs and his time would be very minimal, so that is why I have chosen Mr. Freeman (besides of all of the other reasons that people gave in the petition) http://www.change.org/petitions/mor...reeman-to-do-pool-commentary-with-joey-aguzin

It was pretty cool that people from all of the world answered this petition. Wish more would have done so but 147 responses isn't bad. I enjoyed reading the reasons why people thought this would be a good idea.

I wish others would provide GOOD reasons why Mr. Freeman should do this.

Wait is this a "Fatboy derail the good deed page to tell who you know and what restaurant you can't mention post"?

now back to Morgan Freeman, you are a mirror hog Fatboy.

Mark Mahony is Depp's tattoo artist its on YouTube, there has been much more done since those videos were posted(unless there is new stuff I havent looked at), I know Mark went to his (Depps) B-Day party this year at a famous resteraunt(cant say which one), I didnt go as I dont know JD real well, just said hello and spoke to him a couple times briefly thats all,

Mark(the tatoo atrist) is real close to him, Mark and I are very close-its a funny thing but after someone has tattooed you a lot a bond grows. Mark knows TON's of A listers who I cant mention, Depp isnt a private thing its well documented. Mark Gets the A-List people because they know the Paparazzi wont hear about it. The tattoos always show up but he isnt credited 50%? of the time. I live real close to the shop and give the guys there pool lessions so I hear lots.

back to Morgan freeman.....

Mr. Freeman's close friend has already contacted Morgan and Morgan replied that he is out of state, making a movie for the entire month of June.

That's the way it goes sometimes, but it's all good.

It is most likely the same situation with many other stars. I hated to even think about asking other prominent people to come to this event just to shed a little of their light on our sport because most won't be close to this event and we can't afford to pay to have someone attend the tournament just to spread a little love around.

There will be lots of talent at this event to fill in for Mr. Freeman, at least this time around.

I'd love to have Joe Rogan sit in for a match or two but he's probably in the same situation as Mr. Freeman, making a living and living large.

I know Ray has started a thread requesting who you would like to see in the commentary booth and we'll try to make an effort to secure a wide range of co-commentators for this event. We want to make this event the best event possible and with your support, we will.

Thanks to all who responded in this thread and the other one. We'll keep working hard to earn your respect on each and every commentary.

BTW, how do you feel about having "instructors" doing commentary in the booth? Any particular ones?

Thanks,
JoeyA

And one other thing, if any of you out there are friends with any of the "stars", especially those who might be willing to spend a little time doing commentary with me, "pro bono", and who LOVE POOL, please ask your special friends if they would like to do a match or two with me. I remember one of the Soprano movie stars liked pool. Not sure if anyone else is willing to spend their dough and time coming to a pool tournament, even one of this magnitude.

Anyway, this is going to be a fun event PACKED with the most talented pool players in the world.

If the top players don't show up for this event, they don't like money.

So be sure and tell all of your Professional pool-playing friends that this event is happening SOON and that they can sign up online at: http://www.ultimate10ball.com/2013/wp/

Thanks again for all of your support in getting Morgan Freeman to the commentary booth.
