Only way to get in, you have to show PROOF of winning at least $500 in prize money (not calcutta) in any singles event and kind of table any year. Have events every two mths in Each quadrant of the country with the top 8 from ea event eligible to attend the end of yr event.

I have a couple questions/comments for you.
What if your area doesn't host any or many tournaments that pay that well?
People will have to place very high in ACS, BCA, or whatever their local sanctioning body state tournaments, or go out of state for the chance to play for that size purse.
You also miss out on the dead money of lower players who just want the experience and don't mind donating for the chance to play high level competition.
Would qualifiers be an option for people who don't have good paying tourneys in their area?

I tossed out quite awhile back the roll out mandatory first shot after the break, they just did it with the pros. But if you divide the country up into four parts, there's allot of states within ea grouping. Hell I couldn't swim, but they threw me in anyways :)....These are just thoughts, but the criteria utilizes the other side of the coin, the 'better players' allot of em don't enjoy playing with hacks. Hell, when I ski on the blacks, and a friend skis the blue runs, where ya think I'm gonna spent most my day.?
 
I can see your points. For those of us who can't leave town for a weekend very often it would be nice to see some qualifiers maybe a week or month prior to an event in which we could play our way into a tournament. I guess I'm just steaming about missing every big tournament in my area since my wife has been out of town for work. I can't leave for more than 12 hours for anything until she gets back. No tourneys for me until fall. :mad:

Goals

This would truly be a Goal to shoot for. In life, an individual needs to establish goals. This should put a hop, skip, & jump into many practice routines.
Only the best of the best get to compete; no "fluke" entry.
To beat the best of the best one time would certainly seem worthwhile.
Beside honor: what would be a good monetary prize for such an accomplishment ?

wtf are you talking about?! are you aware of what youo are saying?

you say you cant getout to play tournies and it would be a good idea if you could play a qualifier to lead to a main event...sounds contradictory.

and like you might be a no-show for the main event.

why does the event need to be restricted? what is the value it adds?
