Early TAD?

Definitely a nice looking tad cue. I'm sure we will have some sniping bids on this auction. Going to keep an eye on it...in case it's goes for a reasonable price :) Market is pretty bad so someone might get lucky here.

Duc.

My guess is that it will be at about, $1800.00 and then

at the end with about 4 minutes to go that this cue will jump with the snipers at the bite and it will end at about,

$3,200 to $3,800.00 will be the end. and still a steal at this PRICE!

That is my guess, what do you think?

Good luck, wish I had the monies to get involved but not now, cry cry cry!!

Good luck to its new owner, what a beauty and looks all original

WOW!!!

ENDING AUCTION PRICE: $2,806.00

Pretty nice call, right? 2,000 until the last 10 seconds and then up, $800.00 plus,

I called 300+ off, pretty close, though?!??

Someone still got a nice early long butt cap, TAD KOHARA, for a great price,

interesting looking case too. Any guesses as to what kind of case that is?

Besides needing a butt cap and a refinish, it looks to me like at least 1 veneer is missing. That's tough to match (read $$$$).

I'll take the under thank you.

:D

You west coast guys get half of all the cool cues.

Its a #1 from TAD's first catalog. Great cue. It does look like it needs at least one veneer replacement. TAD is OK with refinishes, not so big on rebuilds. I know a guy that's great at it, but he's so not cheap its scary.

And then there's the case.

Where do you see that? Or what are you seeing that I'm not? My eye sight must be slipping.....

2nd eBay photo. The lower box, the bottom veneer frame. Could have been chipped out, or could have been lost in a poor refinish. Or it could be a camera freak-out.

Without this thread, it probably would have sold for 500-1000 less. Guess the new owner won't get as good of a deal as he might have. Oh well.

It sort of looks like it's not the veneer but the wood on the outside of the outer veneer?
