Scott, if you had 46 years of playing experience and used english on every shot, you'd see these things more clearly.

Game on 'DUDE'!

You're so far up Scott Lee's a_ _ that when he opens his mouth your teeth & tongue are what everyone sees.

And you called me a nut hugger.

You once all but begged me to simply leave you alone because you could not stand the heat in the kitchen that you started. I did so until you did something like you are doing now. Again you all but begged me to leave you alone & informed me that you were putting me on ignore. You have made several posts such as this one since then & I have ignored all of the them & have let them pass. Well you stepped where you should not have this time. You stepped in my thread & brought your crap with you.

So...like you say..."DUDE'...Game on! You want to play? Well...I can play too.

Your distaste for my many years of playing experience is getting old. Find new reproaches for me.

I cannot speak for others, but I will tell you why I have not participated in this "discussion"

I have no desire to spend my time in a discussion that will lead to nothing but more explanations, theories or opinions. Having to wade through posts who's length rival some novels is not how I need to spend my time.

Besides it appears to me that you got your answer so what more information could you possibly want regarding the importance of the grip?

You are set in your ways and beliefs that the way you stroke a ball is better. Fine, I am happy for you that you are pleased with your game. Do we really need to read about it again and again?

I have seen this movie before and I am not buying a ticket.

Tony---> I'm outta here.

Tony, on most boards I've been a member of there are several mods active at all times. I really don't know why Wilson is burdened with all the moderation on this site, but it must be a drag for him. I would think that sub-forums like this one should be allowed to be moderated by their own kind. In this case, a few recognized instructors.

I agree that this thread should have been closed way back when it was obvious that it was another troll by the OP. I'd love to read through all of the instructor comments on the instructor forum, but I can see why many of you don't bother. Even if you did, I'd have to wade through endless pages of pointless tripe to to get to a few nuggets of valid info. Not worth it, my time is too valuable to me as well.

I can't offer a solution, but I have been basically driven off this forum because I despise the antics of a few individuals who continually provoke while hiding behind the pretense of civility by using words like "Sir" and "Mr." and "Thank you", all the while doing everything in their power to create disharmony. Granting moderator status to a few clear-thinking individuals would nip these tactics in the bud.

This low life troll doesn't fool anybody. Put him on ignore, it will improve your experience here immensely.

Man, he is on ignore, and has been for some time. Problem is I have to be logged in for the ignore function to work. I tend to be forgetful at this juncture in life, and I often forget to log out when life drags me away. The solution has been to log in only when I feel the need to post something - something that is becoming rarer by the day because I don't want this person following me around on the net, it creeps me right out.

The other problem is that he sucks a lot of others into arguing with him, and they usually quote him, so it stares me in the face anyway. Funny, it's real easy to see how often he posts (3300 posts in less than a year) because all his posts are condensed to a short line of text, so they are real easy to count. So far this thread alone - 74 posts, many of them full-length novels. Pretty sick, huh?

This person obviously has deep-seated emotional issues. He should be universally ignored here, but I see he has made many "friends" because he is so willing to help others with his vast "experience" in pool... and in just about every other thing in this lil' ol' world. Lol Others play into his game by coming back at him when he posts some absurd piece of drivel, but thankfully, this seems to be happening less and less.

Anyway, I mean him no malice, just wish he would get the help he needs. I also noticed that he has been here almost a year now, stating in every post that he has 46 years of experience at a high level of play (I'm assuming one ball above Shane and Dennis O.). I guess that means he will soon have 47 years of experience. Heck, I'm already thinking ahead about what to get him for his 50th anniversary.

A muzzle, perhaps?

I apologize for "engaging" him. I knew better, but tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. I see what a fool I was for actually thinking he might really want some help.:embarrassed2: Won't happen again. He consistently tears others down to try and make himself look good because that is all he has. Would be sad if it wasn't so evil.

Yeah,

Here we go again.

The question can't or has not been answered sufficiently & not at all by any instructor. It must be a bone of contention or a thorn in the side.

So... let's do what we always do.

Lets' call in the patrol of vigilantes & let's call him a troll & attack his motivation & reasoning for his post or thread.

Same characters in the play, you, nobcity, etc. I'm sure Shimp will show up & the group can bully me into either getting banned or shut up.

I guess you will accuse me of trying to de-rail my own thread.

By definintion your post is that of a troll.

My parent's raised me to have manners & be respectful until I have cause to not do so. I open doors for females, older people, people carrying things, etc. I'm also a Christian, attack me for that too.

Don't fool yourself. Most of the readership sees through the tactics of your little 'click'. Personally I wish Mr. Wilson did & he might.

I bowed out of randyG's TOI thread under a self imposed threat & acceptance of a 6 month ban if I posted again so he would come back & post his opinion of TOI to your little group. What happened? I stayed out & he made one little post basically saying that it was 'okay'. Big review. My post that started all of ya'll on your tear was correct.

randyG's post regarding several inches of straight tip travel in a fixed elbow pendulum stroke intrigued me as I just don't see it. I asked twice in that other thread for an explanation & got non. So... I opened this thread looking for an answer. It is not my fault if there is no answer.

All I want is the truth & an explanation as to his assertion as to how it happens.

Can you answer the question or do you have comments specifically regarding it. If so then please be forth coming with them.

If you have no comments regarding the topic of this thread then go troll somewhere else.

Is that too mannerly for you?

I've decded to not hand out free lunches today.

Each of you has made yourelves plain to see for everyone to make their own judgements.

Pity the Driving Range.

randyg

I am & I am sure very many others find it interesting, as to when & with what you make your first post in a thread that has been seeking an explanation regarding an assertion made by you.

In light of the current tone & objective of others, I guess I will just leave it at that & let everyone make their own determinations.

Rick...Once again, you're talking off the top of your head. Anyone who has ever taken a lesson from me knows that one thing I ALWAYS do is suggest to them to study with as many different instructors as they have the time, money and opportunity to see. Nobcitypool is a good example of this, and has taken instruction from many different people...gaining something from every interaction! Somehow that doesn't seem like I'm "possessive" or consider them "personal property". Anyone is free to comment when someone posts a video...even someone who is admittedly no instructor! Some know what they're talking about...and some don't. The same is true of some instructors. I haven't slandered anybody, so not only is there no "repercussion", there is also no apology necessary. As far as responding to your post...reread it. It is so disorganized that you can't tell where I said something, and you said something back. Therefore, I chose not to respond. When you learn how to type posts that are readable, I may choose to respond. Interesting to note that I am clearly not the only one here to find you to be more than a nuisance, contributing nothing worthwhile, while continually bashing others.

I quess you consider certain AZB members your 'pesonal property' & how dare I or Ms. Crimi critique Jon's stroke, or anyone's to whom you have given a lesson, even though Jon posted the video in my thread, seemingly to me, for everyone to see.

Apparently you are very possesive of those to whom you have given a lesson & from this analysis, I would think that you should be.

You responded to my little comment pointing out that you may have missed something in your review. Yet... you have no follow up to my reply of your initial post regarding the main topic of this thread.

I agree I've rarely seen a forum half this size with only one moderator, however, everyone can lend a hand by hitting the report button. 3 or 4 words is about all I ever need to write; just long enough to convey an idea, not long enough to require more work of anyone reading it.

Almost every time I've used it, something gets done. While I'd like to see more moderators, I also know it is a thankless, tiresome job. I've seen more than a few over the years quit, and many of those were ones that happily volunteered for the position thinking they could do it better than the existing moderators.

Yeah, I guess from 'your point of view' an apology is never necessary.

Choice & excuses can be very convenient.

The tactic will probably work & the question will go away, unanswered. But very many have seen it go unanswered. That was not my intent but unfortuantely that will be the result.

Everyone will just have to make their own determinations as to why.

Sorry the opportunity was wasted.

Scott, you don't owe this troll any explanation whatsoever. It should be obvious by the posts of so many what people think of this guy. He is clearly a pathetic, sad loser.

The thread that never ends. Anyway, there's a thought that's been percolating for awhile now so I guess I'll share it. I think English should post a video of himself playing some pool. He tries to talk a good game but I have the feeling he either doesn't play at all or if he does is a C player at best. Maybe it's all just theory not backed by actual playing experience.

On a side note... I'd be willing to bet he's terrorizing other forums as well; golf, tennis,etc..

How bout it English, show us what you've got.

Rick,

Unlike some others here, I have no problems with you. I don't pick sides and I don't hold grudges. The fact of the matter is that the pendulum stroke has been defined numerous times. In other threads and in this one. You still don't understand it though, and that's nobody's fault but your own.

Now let me be absolutely clear, that is not a knock on your intelligence in anyway. There are plenty of subjects that experts could explain to me until they're blue in the face, and I still wouldn't understand.

If you are happy with your game, then just let it go.

Best wishes

Jon

Well, I'm done talking here.

See you in a couple of months.
Fix the attitude or don't come back at all.
