Here's What I Know About the 50th Anniversary GINACUE

Ernie has started them. He has a design and knows the materials. They will be big ivory and ebony with silver and gold (50th Anniversary of course). There will be 50, he hasn't started taking deposits yet, but he does have a waiting list.

They will be between $13 to 15K(ish).

It will be a cue that will be recognizable as a Gina, but will be a completely unique design. Some top guys seem to be able to do this, like you could look at a 1960 Corvette and and a 2013 Vette as see that they are the "same" model (if that makes sense).

When I left him he was working on making a machine to assist him in making one of the cue's components. Ernie is foremost a machinist, and designing and building machines to help him is very much a part of the process he enjoys.

I think that's all I know (that I can tell).

Bring the Bucktooth Vuitton Duffle filled with cash and grind The Silver Gina out of him.

Ernie doesn't drink coffee but if he did, he'd have one of those deals like I do that grinds the beans, heats the water, steep the beans, makes the coffee and then dumps the grounds. EXCEPT he'd have his attached to some direct spring water feed and connected to some filtration system he designed. The beans would be Colombian (of course) but the pickers would just put them in some box in Columbia, close the lid and they would shuttle to The Master's Machine. When the grounds dump they would direct shuttle to Luce's garden for mulch.

OK, dog water bowls outside for Duke and Duchess (his dogs). Ernie has some tube feed into the bowl direct from his water supply, and some floatation device on the top of the water line (like the thing in the back of a toilet bowl only Ernie designed and made so small and perfect) that lets the water know when it needs to fill. Dogs drink, the level goes down and snick-snick, it automatically fills.

Old Fatboy, brick o'cash in his LV Duffel (I spelled it wrong you YOU had it right LOL).

New FatBoy, $97.39 in loose bills and change.

When you know you are in trouble is when you are asking me to sell the bag for you on eBay.

Let me know when you are free and we will meet.

I seem to remember a video interview with Justin in which Ernie said the 50th anniversary was in 2012. Must be cue maker time again.

Ernie got pushed back when he got the order for The Cathedral Cues, something about the chance to build some 100K cues that threw his schedule off.

Hell, he was going to put some old cork he had on some Martins I had and he held me up for MONTHS on those Martins. I was all, Ernie, get your priorities straight.

Could be a customer. One of the few I've never owned

TAD doesn't do them and I can't think of another that is in danger of getting to 50 Years at it anytime soon. If you get the 50th, then of course you have to go find one of the 40 40ths or 30 30ths.

I like the 30ths a lot and those are a good deal when you can find one.

Would need 5#s plus power ball for that LOL

Are they impossible to get??? Actually sounds like a decent investment opportunity, I bet they'd bring $20k on the secondary market

Are they finished? Will we see pictures at some point?

Finished and gone. I think Ernie sent one to Big Kenny to show at some pool function and there were some camera phone pics taken and passed around.

I have somepics but the collector that ordered them isn't that public about his stuff. Ernie respects his collectors' wishes and I respect Ernie's.

They were/are awesomely intricate.

So far they possible to get. Ernie just started work on them, just started a list and hasn't yet started taking deposits. Both his 30th and 40th Anniversaries trade on the 2ndary market a little bit over what Ernie charged for them, but I'm pretty sure he is going to announce his "retirement" from active cue making when this batch is done.

So we will see.

Not too many yet. I don't know how many are on his "want list" right now, but it is less than 50. Early on in the process Ernie had a guy call him, ask how much they were going to be, and when Ernie told him, 13-15K, the guy responded "I'll take them all", but Ernie wouldn't do it.

Please take that girl on the right in your avi to your local USPS office, slap a few stamps on that pretty forehead and mail her to me. I have something I want to tell her.
