Dennis closes the gap!!!!

yep he is closing in, Id say he is a favorite to win even more games tomaro(seriously) I dont think he will give up. he has lots of heart

I believe Shane actually widened the gap :grin-square:

If anyone was going to bet on Dennis to win, what would the odds be?

25-1 off the top of my head, hard to say, really. he pretty much cant win from here unless shane runs a red light and gets in a accident(god forbid)

I was being a smart*ss :-) but seriously he was down 26 at one point maybe 27 and could've easily been 30 at the end of the day.

If we apply probabilities & math since it is impossible for Dennis to win, provided Shane keeps playing at same rate; Only way possible is if Dennis puts 8-10 racks pack on Shane!!

Never say impossible!!! Especially in this game and with these players!!! Highly unlikely, maybe, but not impossible!!! They both have a lot of respect for each other!!! It's not mike dechaine playing, its Dennis Orcullo!!!! Again, huge difference!!!! I still like both players so for me, they are both great period!!! This is what happens when one person is playing there top level game and the other isn't! Between these 2 greats, it could go either way in this type of format! As far as this particular match,,,, well, I think shanes got from here!!! But remember, he can't let up!!! Dennis Orcullo is playing:) either way I hope they play well tonight, both of them!!!

what time (est) will they start play on sunday??
anyone have a link to the stream??
thanks guys

Perhaps

Your signature quote, "Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible," is from M.C. Escher, not Albert Einstein.

I've heard that too but it depends on your source. I choose to use Einstein because nobody knows who Escher is. I've seen it quoted by both.

"If you've never heard of M.C. Escher, chances are you've been living under a rock your whole life."

-Benjamin Franklin

I love Dennis, but he's toast here! Not to worry, there are many big tournaments still ahead for him. The next two months are full of opportunities; Tunica, then California Billiards (14K added), Hard Times (10K added), back to Vegas for all the CSI events and finally Straight Pool in New York. He will be playing in at least ten good tourneys. Although he will miss the U.S. Open Eight Ball as he has to fly to Columbia for the World Games where he represents The Philippines.

Kind of a bad time to be stuck in Vegas playing Bonus Ball, to make 500 a week after expenses. They are all missing out on some serious paydays. So be it!

At this level of play, It's kind of sad that somebody has to lose.

Shane is definitely top dawg these days...

That's probably the strangest logic I've heard in a long time. Roughly analogous to, "let's forget the courtesy of proper attribution, and choose instead the path of media airplay 'sexiness and sensationalism'." Don't we have enough of that crap in today's society?

The quote DID come from M.C. Escher. If one types that exact quote in any search engine, all the hits I see come up for Escher -- a *well known* graphic artist who's renowned for those head-scratching works of "puzzle art" (like the staircase that connects to itself at the bottom & top). I stopped going through about 4 pages of Google hits on this quote, and not a single one up to the point I stopped says it came from Einstein -- all from Escher.

"It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see." -Albert Einstein (afterall, nobody knows who Henry David Thoreau is. ;) )

I never said I changed who said it. The first time I saw the quote it was quoted by Einstein. That was 20 years ago and it stuck with me ever since. If that's wrong, so be it. I've also seen it quoted by Escher.

You guys need something to do.

"I think therefore I am" - Jessica Alba

She may not have said it first. She may not have ever said it, but I'm guessing she has said all the words in the saying at one time or another. And what impact when she says it. Alba gives that Descartes fella the 3 out on butt.
