Jam.. If you can edit your poll to a broader selection maybe we will all have a better view of AZer's thoughts.

1.Right
2.Wrong
3.I could care less
4.????

And before you say it I do realize this is "Your Poll", but it might give us a better idea of what AZer's think if you add a few more choices.

Don

As stated earlier in the thread, in case you missed, if folks have no opinion, then they can elect to not vote. Problem solved! :)

Oh man this sounds like a Blues Brothers type mission...but if you do that (above) you'll be helping to promote BB to many Americans that don't know what is it now, and that could be a marketing (mini)coop for them...(and all for free)....also if people see the (potential) devisiveness that exists today in pool, it may turn them off to pool more, which is certainly not your ultimate goal...

IMHO...It's always better to move forward with a positive win-win plan, if you can anyway...maybe with your contacts, you can get BB and the promoters to communicate better, at least in the future....

I'm for anyting that promotes pool. If Bonus Ball changes their schedule for Southern Classic, before it's too late, I will be on the front lines cheerleading Bonus Ball.

But my petition will be a well-documented one with facts, not opinions. In research, it is essential to back up everything with dates, references, et cetera. You know, nothing but the facts, ma'am.

It's a great vehicle, though, to effect a change. Check it out: Change.org.

Ah, the power of social media. There ain't nothing like it.

OK, I will check it out...but it may be with money collected for streaming (and other commitments) that there is no way to change the BB schedule at this late date...(just a thought)....

Where there's a will, there's a way. Did you forget they have their own venue site, their own staff, their own rules, their own players, their own this, their own that? I don't think they're subbing the filming out to a subcontractor. :embarrassed2:

wrong

I had to vote "wrong".

It's unfortunate that things didn't go more smoothly for the start of the BB enterprise. Just too many unforeseen delays. Then problems with the stream. I think most of the fans on AZ want(ed) this to be successful. I believe the concept has merit, but, it has some way to go, to fulfill it's potential. OK, it's early in it's life, and some mistakes will be made. Overlapping one of the Premier tournaments of the year, does not endear BB to the pool community. Maybe they really don't care what we think, or that we watch the stream?

I really do hope that it works out for the players, and the promoter; only time will tell.

Charlie

Jam..

That is the narrow minded thinking I have come to expect from you.

JAM, If you dont mind me asking what made you change your heart about BB? Before this all started you were backing it and supporting BB. And at that point the schedule was already known and we all knew it was going to interfere with these major US tournaments. Im not trying to start anything with you, Im on the side of thinking that BB should not conflict with these events. Just curious what changed your mind.

Here is what I said ...........

I made the WPBL schedule. If you want answers to any of the questions feel free to PM me directly.

Here are a few bullet points to help you out.

- Ultimate 10 ball takes place during the off days of our schedule so it was much easier to move around one day.

- We made a 26 week commitment to our players and as it is we are barely finishing before Thanksgiving, Mosconi Cup and the Christmas season.

- If we avoided Southern Classic that would be 2 weeks, CSI events in July add another 2 weeks, The US open 9 ball add another week. End of November turns into early mid January.

- Consistency: We want our fans to know that every week they can tune into WPBLtv.com and see Live matches.

- Each team has (2) Alternates they may use at anytime no one has been told they cannot attend any tournaments. The Players are making their own choices.

- Each player was asked which events they wished to attend while the scheduling process was being made Atlanta and Houston asked for the Southern Classic .....so they don`t play those weekends.

- ``kittykat`` is obviously Barry Bremner or ``vpbb123`` who was banned from this forums months ago and also has signed a piece of paper that specifically says he may not be doing anything like this..... He is not to be viewed as a representative of the WPBL or any of its affiliates.

-$1,000,000 added money. No entry fees. A true invitational.

Thanks for your time.

Dave

$1,000,000 in added money on top of the weekly salaries. That's like the 500,000 views you got on day two, more unadulterated baloney. I'd like to bet you $1,000 that there will not now or ever be one million dollars added to the money paid out to the BB players. Salaries are NOT added money, that's a wage. If you'd like to bet on this, please feel free to post with Mike Howerton or Jerry Forsyth of AZ Billiards.

LOL... nice one Jay...

I voted wrong... but it does not matter because it was made clear on AZ that AZ "type people" are not the market.... so piss**g us off is meaningless... I was not going to Tunica but now will try to get there at least for a day or two just to support the event... between the Rassin (sp?) table from China and stepping on Tunica I am starting to think BB is trying to stick it too Diamond... why.. don't know ... but I will stand with Greg. I will burn my $$ before I give one red cent to BB.......

There is a conspiracy theorist somewhere that thinks Bonus Ball paid JAM to be against Bonus Ball so that AZ fans would support it out of spite.

(I think you rock, JAM)

If I voted yes, then if BB posted their schedules for the next three years(assuming it lasted that long),should all other tours move their schedules to accommodate the players? I doubt the same people saying "wrong" would feel the same way then.

Theres about as much chance of Bogus Ball lasting 3 years as me hitting the powerball lotto

The part in RED is straight up propaganda.
Your poll is titled `` Bonus Ball Schedule: Right or Wrong``

You end your question and then put in a statement of your own strong feelings before barely touching on the other viewpoint.

And claiming 10,000 viewers to a stream or 500,000 hits to a website in a day is not propaganda? Or let's go back to the beginning when it was stated that the cameras in the BB arena cost $300K.

Joe knows lol!!

Yea , All of the other games have been so successful for so many years, Some people have no vision. But it is nice that the future of pool is so bright with or without BB. LMFAO !! I think BB is the best opportunity for pool that I have seen in my lifetime.

I have watched BB and I must say I think you Joe, may be wrong.
