Instead of promoting matches of this guy playing that guy, announce USA plays China or Japan plays Australia and let it evolve. Pool players names mean near zero to the general public, but when ya toss in Country....game on.

Its hard and expensive to get international players here for one match I do believe..
Sponsors might come into play. Imagine how cool it would be to have, say, $20,000, 15 for winner and 5 for loser. It can happen if enough sponsors get on board.

I do not think it possible to find big-money (or even small-money) sponsors for an internet stream. The viewing numbers are just too small. Free streams at large events draw sometimes a little over 2,000 people and they like to complain about the ads.
PPV does REAL good to get 1,000. Most PPV streams pull in less than that. I have done commentary on a PPV match between Earl and another real good player (don't remember who) that drew 12 viewers on a Saturday late afternoon.

I'm not saying Anythings got to work, or will work, but what's the downside to trying it, or pitching it this way? Nowadays I'm sure it would be easy to find different ethnic groups and contact em about the up coming match via Google. If I was a kid and I heard a guy from Egypt was playing a guy from my country, I'm going.

In reality, I can see this, but maybe, just maybe, some rich pool sugar daddy will come a long and make it happen.
