What I said "As John has pointed out, he is free to copy Jacks work. As this is the Chinese custom anyways, so that is to be expected. You must also consider the many other cases that John makes money from, doing "tributes" or copies. So this is not a stretch for John.

But there is now and no one who condemns me has EVER condemned Ron Thomas for copying It's George and Centennial.
No one ever condemned Schon, Engles, or Bill McDaniel for copying Fellini. Never, since 1997ish that I have been on these forums have I ever seen the "copy police" saya word about that.
Did anyone condemn Justis for making cases in the same look and feel as Jay Flowers' and Dennis Swift? Not to my knowledge they haven't.
Was Porper condemned for copying AVP and New Image and Instroke? Nope.
I could go on and on about this because as you know I have studied the history of case making quite a bit.
So for the past 16 years that I have been on internet forums and through all the thousands of threads on copying I have yet to see any of these case makers taken to task and condemned for their copying. Joe Van Buren you can start now and explain to us all why it's ok for them to have copied but it's not ok for me or anyone else to do it? I am curious to hear the explanation you have. It should be a great one.
By the way, in case people forget, we do a TON of original stuff as well. Show them your case Sean.

People are upset because JB is taking shots at Justis, not for making a tribute case. It's just the manner it was presented, in a passive aggressive manner. It seems to me most everyone thinks doing the case is fine. Documenting it is good too. I understand it's in response to a challenge, so that might explain the shots. But, as the old saying goes. An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. The best that I can tell, JB and the Justis camp should be out of body parts by now.
I think if JB did the case and the video without slighting Justis and/or his followers, then there would be one less train wreck to watch here at AZB.
Disclousre. I have a JB basic rugged 4x8, I think it's a good case at fits my personality in general. I just wish it was a bit larger to make it easy to reach items and put items away. That just means more padding to space out the items, and a larger exterior. I would buy another, price/value is there. I'm also a new member, and his antics don't seem out of line to the eccentrics here at AZB. I don't know all the history, haven't been exposed to it, and quite frankly I just don't care. JB seems helpful, but abrasive at times, and quick to shoot.
Threads like this has the 2 camps on tilt, like the other dozen threads that are going on in the main forum. All we need is Earl vs JJ, and Bonus Ball vs JAM, on the same card on a single night, and we can make this top billing for us watchers. $10K per seat for ringside seats. :smash:

1. The part where you say you wish you wouldn't own a case due to some comments people say on the internet
2.The part where you misspell the case you are mad about (Justis not Justice)
3. Or the part where you still have the case that you are horribly mad at in the signature of every post you make

So, should we stop buying Chevy and Ford? and buy Toyota cause you know Toyota actually assembles some cars here in the states. It's a global economy and BMW's and Mercedes have models assembled here in the states but which is more American a Chevy truck made in Mexico or a Mercedes built in Alabama?
Ok here is a pic of the cue that I promised. Not a great picture from my camera phone but you get the gist.
I want to point out several things.
1) I was hasty and should have PM'd JB before bringing this up in a thread but JB likes to be so transparent in everything he does it leads to posts such as mine.
2) JB obviously advised Matt Carter @ Sterling of this issue. I received a PM from Matt asking to describe the issue. Matt has offered for me to send him the case so he can determine exactly what happened. He feels with the tubing and construction of the case, any moisture should not have gotten thru the vinyl, past the tube and onto the cue. Matt has offered to send me a loaner case that is suitable to me until they are finished with their investigation. I would say that is 110% customer service.
3) I used a Magic Eraser and the stain has been removed. I'm not sure but I think the Magic Eraser is made in China as well, or maybe it is Cincinnati.

I don't care if you make a post like that but you should tell people that you didn't talk to me about it beforehand so that other guys like Joe Van Buren don't try to use your information to attack me as if I knew about it and did nothing.
Actually I didn't tell Matt anything so no bonus points for me. Matt however monitors the forum and like everyone else delights in the case wars sagas so he surely saw it and took the initiative.

Well, let's see, China has 1.5 BILLION people. That would indicate to me that the available prepared food would run the gamut from super nasty places to super clean places with most places being somewhere in between.
China is also larger than the USA with more diversity in language and customs. Who knows where your boss was in China, could have been some backwater town or Beijing. Either way I doubt highly that he went around with white gloves and a clipboard inspecting every place he went into. Sounds the biggest pansy of a special forces Army guy I have ever heard of.
I love the way you condemn an entire nation because of the vicarious experience of one person. Ah well, whatever.......just lets me know where your mind is at and that I don't really have to care at all what your opinion of me is if you base your opinion of an entire nation on one guy's experience.
