What do they use to attach ea layer to the next, and do all layered tip mfg. use the same type?

I wondered that myself, ID, so I asked Tom Hay and he said the layers were held together by very tiny sutures. In his employ is a very large midget, or a very small giant, depending upon how you look at it, whose only job is to sew the layers together. It is time consuming work, according to Tom.

I thought they placed Smufs between the layers and just pressed the tips in a vice, the resulting Smuf gunk acts like a super glue and since there are no Smurf rights groups, there is no complaining from anyone.

Or it could be just regular glue, 50/50 chance of either. I'm guessing that the exact type and process would be a trade secret.

As a member of The Union, I must correct you: it is The Pimento Stuffers Union. The product is Stuffed Olives, not Packed Olives.
