So where is the Bonus Ball annoucement?

Risk is directly related to reward and without one you will rarely be introduced ....

I still think as a human being it's good to have empathy and compassion. They just want to have the opportunity to have a fulfilling and profitable life like everyone else. Let's not take that away, just to prove a point or feel superior due to someone else's misfortune.

When we can't respect those that take chances despite overwhelming odds what can we respect? Risk is directly related to reward and without one you will rarely be introduced to the other.

We all know the Bonus Ball was a challenging proposition and I respect them for taking a chance when no others would. The greatest books and movies were alway about someone outrunning the odds to succeed. Why does pool have to always be the "exception," when it's the "sample example" of how destructive negativity can be.

Competition in business is a healthy thing and pool needs much more of it, not less. Competition is what makes businesses exceed anyone's expectations and win against all odds. Even if Bonus Ball doesn't go further none of us know what doors it may have opened up in the future. One things for certain, if the tournaments continue like they have the past few years no one has any hope to succeed except a choice few.

This post here actually makes the most sense to me about the "why" of it all.

thanks JAM, hope your good today!!

i have to go to Vegas right now:barf: got to go see the doctor, dentist and lawyer. GRRRR its so nice in LA and I have to go to the oven and bake. I hope I can get back to LA before the weekend, not sure tho....:(

things are not what they appear in this world, I hope BB is one of the things it appears to be-for many reasons, if it aint then pool gets another nail in the coffin.

Anyway

Anyway, when will this announcement happen? I am extremely curious to see what the announcement is.

I really hope it is good news. It would be good for some talented people to start to earn a regular income out of the game.

The bashing on here is more directed not at bonus ball in general, but a choice few that work and speak on their behalf. They always come with the wait till WE do this, or WE are going to do this, or you will love OUR new stream or lights, website, etc, etc, etc.
Then when the first thing goes wrong as it was WELL, months before week 1s stream debacle, they get on the defensive real quick as its not their fault, but yet if it succeeds they are ready to say, see I told you so.
They can't take the heat. They were terrible choices from day 1.

Not easy to run leagues, or larger scale events. I've never seen a streamer come in and do it, and be a success, so did not expect any difference here.

This is what's going down and I heard this from several reliable sources --

In an attempt to increase online viewership, the Bonus Ball Team has decided to make a dramatic change. As of 7/8/2013, the orange ball is now worth 2 points and the purple is only worth 1! As if this one rule change was not enough, players now have to shoot the purple ball before the orange, except if two balls of differing colors are frozen together. In that case, you can shoot any ball you choose as long as you don’t shoot at the frozen pair.

Another major rule change that is being tested in select markets is players are now allowed to use the Bonus Ball as the cue ball when shooting continuation shots aimed at the purple ball in the left hand side pocket. So far, player feedback has been mixed. Many players are complaining that it’s just too hard to determine which side pocket is the left hand one.
Others are loving the new rule changes. Curl Stickland was overheard saying, “These are the exact rule changes I have been talking about for years! About time somebody listened to me.”

Another elite Bonus Ball player said, “These new rule changes will make this the greatest game around! And I’m not just saying that because I’m getting paid to play this game. I’m really not!”

That guy's getting fired because he didn't say how exciting the scoreboard is. It's in every one of their remarks. Outside of IT, I've never seen so many people excited by blinky lights.

PS: Canadians, do not try to correct JAM about the moon lander, apple pie, basketball, bowling, billiards, or baseball. There is no country outside of the USA. She won't even reply to my comment about Canada, the second largest oil-producing nation in the world supplying the gasoline for her car because Canada does not exist. It's Merica! or bust.

Now then, did someone mention an announcement? Larry? I'll take your friggin' Beaver card away if you screw this BB stuff up.

PPS: I love the scoreboard!!!!!!

Made in the USA: AzBilliards Discussion Forum!

One thing about America, we try to work together with our allies. After all, notice the BCA included Canada. It's not the BCNA. It's the BCA.

Sure and the World Series has all but 1 American team...explain that one to me would ya?

Public Relations

Yes, their Public Relations was not managed well, that became apparent, I just wish the players could catch a break. After seeing first hand what they have to deal with I can't imagine how difficult things must be right now.

Vegas is a very unforgiving city, and going there to compete in the entertainment industry may be impossible without a tremendous "game plan". That's what concerned me the most is there didn't seen to be a comprehensive business plan, and no one could identify any profit centers.

I only post to mention that canada is the sixth largest oil producing country. Not the second.

Behind:
Saudi Arabia
Russia
US
Iran
China

Then
Canada

The cloth should have been blue. :)
The game is pretty complicated, but I'd like to know the intention behind the rule modifications.

It's about 3:30 pm est time 12 pm vegas time. where is the press release?

where would it first get posted? I am curious

People always get this confused, Canada is the second largest supplier of oil to the U.S. Not worldwide producer.

Cashman - Canadian Roughneck. And proud of it.
