"King of the One Handed Players". RIP Little Sergio

I respect your experience and opinion, but have you played Jesse Allred?...have you played him one handed? I have, and I'll say...I'd be hard pressed to find anyone on this planet that could do what he does.

Touche' - I think you know the answer, and I probably don't need to ask if you ever played Weldon or "Little Sergio" one handed as well. I played little sergio giving him the wild 8 on a bar table and he beat me in Shreveport La.

I don't play "one handed," but I've bet on Weldon many, many times playing for substantial money. I know there's a few that play one handed in exhibitions, and trick shots, but I'm talking about actual high stakes gambling.

Share with us who's he's played over the years, I honestly never of him playing any big "one handed" matches. Weldon would play anyone in the world with the 7 and the break, his one handed to their two handed - will he?

At the end of the day it's just our opinions. I'm sure Jesse is a great one handed player and many will testify that Weldon and Sergio were also tremendous players. I just found out Little Sergio passed away, I wasn't aware of that, he was a very talented player and for many years the "King of the One Handed Players". RIP Little Sergio

Methods of communication

From the moment I read about this idea I loved it. One thing about it bugs me though. What if Ted Kyzinski (the Una-bomber), or other anti technology people like him want in but don't have all the modern equipment to sign in? Facebook, youtube, cellphone cameras - jeezus, I guess I missed the boat (and in many ways glad I did). I'm sort of like Kyzinski, but a mild version as I don't go around blowing people's hands off and I'm not a true outdoor survivalist, just a guy who can't afford all the new toys and wants nothing to do with them until they come down in price and are made virtually maintenance free. It's that way with everything now. You need the modern gadgetry to qualify for almost anything. I want to represent the old guy who never reached his peak but always thought he could have been the best even if it was all in his head. I have the personality to pull it off. But they're going to just have to take my word for it, I can't back it up with video, etc. I also don't fly. But I'll be there in time even if I have to hitchhike, which by the way you can still do even if everyone says you can't. It's funny how they say you can't do certain things anymore, yet they never do it themselves. I like the idea of the show whether I'm on it or not, although my presence would certainly make it even better. Good luck with it.

Tommy, Thank You for the post. About being able to communicate with the production group, if you know someone with a smartphone who can take a short video and dialogue from your shooting and talking, that would be one way.

You are on AZB with a computer, that is another.

Also, this production will probably have periods where it goes around the country and visits small towns and cities looking for the local people who are the unknowns. So, there may be options for you ahead. The hitchhiking part is good shtick, save that.

I remember Kaczynksi's cabin being hauled on a low boy trailer out to California for the trial! lol, that was some serious evidence there my friend.

As you are probably aware I was just trying to blow off some steam. I was serious about the frustration of needing new things to keep up. Most of my life was spent trying not to need things, even as that need grows all around me. I understand that it's all about me and that if I really wanted to do something I'd find a way regardless of how the deck is stacked. So I was just blowing off some steam. I would be a good candidate though.

Also, yes I have a computer, but it's 15 years old and won't accept any new software because the operating system doesn't meet the standards. Just getting logged into this group is a near miracle. I'm on dialup which doesn't help. Anyway, I'm not griping for real, it's a just a habit that's hard to break. Even if I had nothing to gripe about, I'd gripe about not having anything to gripe about. Thanks for your comments. I do sincerely like the concept for the show and hope it goes over. If you don't see me on that show it's because I kept myself off, not because I couldn't get past the electronic roadblocks. Although my gripes about those roadblocks are based in truth as well. I'm not against the new toys, only being made to need them. God, I hate needing things.

I once searched a website of those parking lot speaker systems after my cousin got taken (i think he still has them). I took a minute to research the shows he said he produced for and neither his name nor his company is listed on any of them. Don't get me wrong I would love to see a reality pool show to help draw the masses back and know its coming because there are at least 5 legit ppl working on 1. Of course it will do well in ratings because ppl love watching a train wreck. This seems like a big troll to me. Don't networks usually have you sign some contract before anything takes place? MuProductions....Made Up Productions? Get free footage to make something to make money off? Hope it goes well but I have to be a skeptic, I've seen/been part of too many scams to take something right off the cuff. Just my 2¢

hmmm...a quick search of IMDB pulled him up as a producer for the shows...and found him on LinkedIn as well....

could be BS, i guess..all fake pages, maybe....
i got a response from him, so we'll see, i guess.

Thanks for your concerns. Yes there are at least a dozen or more pool related video/tv/podcast projects in the works right now. Some may pan out, others won't. The production company for this project is asking for video for a treatment to be offered for production to a cable network. If it doesn't work, no one has lost any money,just a little time trying to help. If you believe the risk is too great for your involvement,fair enough.

It wouldn't be unusual not to see some writing team members named on a basic list from a show or movie. From my understanding, he began hs production company recently. This is very common in Hollywood. I did a film a couple of years ago with a production company that started up less than a year before filming. The Director was previously a writer on "Lost", and had a connection to a Producer at Sony Pictures. It is a very fluid business.

Thanks for writing your concerns. I had mine. That's why I spent over an hour talking to Stuart, and doing a little background checking of my own. He's a guy who likes pool and wants to make a reality show out of what we have here in the pool world. Can't end up any worse than what we've had the past 20 years.

I worked a TV Show years ago,Manchester Prep. Tom Cruise's ex-Mimi Rogers was in it. Taped a few episodes. Don't think it ever aired. Some run a few days, some never. Appreciate that. Yes, the movie business is that way for sure and let's not even get started with the nepotism. But my audition story applies to all things in life, not just trying to get into the movies or TV. I'm talking about trying period. I don't like it. With some things - some, not all - then again, who knows, maybe all - hard work cannot be sneered at, that is not my purpose - but I think that sometimes it's just best to let things come to you instead of chasing all over for them. I'm too tired to try. Glad I'm older now, I have another good excuse for not trying, maybe the best of all - I'm too tired.

LOL Lil Jon is a great choice. Him and I played 2 days in a row in Columbus Georgia. The room was packed and him and I were really talking crap to each other while we played( I prefer not to talk when I play but if the other person insists on it so be it) I won the talking contest and the money

They should have guys paired up. Lock everyone in a house with pool tables for a month and see who walks out with all the money.
