I got up 7-6 and was feeling good, but he came back with three straight and crushed my dreams of victory..
 
Does table size matter? I have beat Casper when using the magic rack on the BB, I've been on a pool hiatus for over a year now so I don't think I can fade Casper right now. OTOH with break and BIH I would definitely try some human Caspers.... I can play safe on them. I have never been able to beat the ghost Bartram style though
 
I didn't even have to go to the table to know the answer... Haven't played in six months and I feel like I'd do good if I even hit the rack on the break...;)
 
Way out of being in stroke but playing better all the time now that I am getting out 2 times a week... It's not enough but it beats the 0 I had been running most weeks for 3+ years...

I'll try it tomorrow night but I am going to cheat and play on the 8overs... Pretty sure I have a lock on the smaller tables still but the 9ft is rebelling and refusing to let me dominate it and shoot what I want instead of what it wants me to shoot....

Unlike the other posters, I am playing the best pool of my life!

But the ghost would still beat me 9-3 (assuming I get to keep that one nine-ball-on-the-break); otherwise it's 9-2.
 
I didn't play..........I already know I can't beat the ghost.

I hadn't had a chance to play lately. It is incumbant upon OP me to get on the table and post my effort. Playing one to two sets for $10 once every 3 weeks on a GC 3 hasn't been kind to my game, lol. I'd have a chance beating that sneaky, no missing SOB, but if I were on the rail, I'd take him right now and lay 3:2.
 
I put owned even thought it was on a BB with MR and pattern racking. But it did have 4" pockets x6. I had to hang my cue up for good a few months ago and I miss playing everyday so much. I think you miss anything that you did almost everyday for 60 + years. Johnnyt
 
As long as a home barbox is ok, and I don't pattern rack against myself I am game to give it a go within the next few days!

I didn't know you hung up your cue Johnny. Sorry to hear that. Bad back or no painters ringing your door bell? ;)
 
I play the ghost almost every night 3 sets! I want to say I'm 50/50 with casper, but that is pattern racking and soft breaking! Although, I do make sure
3 balls pass the sides!!! And it is on a 9 ft with tight pockets;) anyway, the point here is last week one night, I played casper and I drilled him 7-0!!!! Best feeling in the world:)

Thanks, I was very fortunate to catch the break as good as I was!!! The balls were being very nice to me:) that was the only time I beat the ghost 3 sets in a row!!! Again, greatest feeling ever!!! I love this great game:)

Ain't that the truth. The break in ghost is MONUMENTAL. Get the spread, the ghost is like a drunk prom date. Get a freeze or two, and take the pipe 8 out of 10.
 
Casper went down!

I won 9-6 using the magic rack on my shimmed-up valley with 4 1/4in pockets
