That'd be nice, except 20k is worth a lot more to Ko than SVB. Unless he has a backer he would be in a disadvantage. So my question again is did Ko Pin Yi accept Shane's 20k challenge or not? Now more than ever I want to see these two match up. I will spend $50 on the PPV for an old school race to 100.

Well from what Justin posted he has had a month to respond to it and I would guess that he wasn't able to arrange for a backer.
Although I am sure Shane would play for less.
So to all of you guys not being sure about the speed this kid plays.....
Carlio Biado, who just won the 10-Ball tournament with a super tough field at Hard Times was DESTROYED 9-0 by Ko Pin-Yi....
I'm really looking forward to how the US Open continues...so many top players already on the one-loss side already...oh btw Lee van also wins 9-0 against Mike Dechaine...pretty strong...
My favourites to win the whole thing are Ko, Wu and Orcullo....what do you guys think?
Wasn't he the pilot of Asiana flight 214?
(Oh, no. That was Captain Sum Ting Wong.)
Did someone say the little brother has already run like a 9-pack?!
He seems to have copied his brother's hair and his break in that all-japan video.
We may see them face each other in a finals someday.
and Cory but Mika 11-0. Shut out happen, yea the guy plays strong but this seem to be another case (building) of "the greatest player in the world" thing cause someone made the radar.
With a number of players from Taiwan and China here for this event, and the posts about how strong they are, I went back and looked at the brackets to check on how they are doing. For some reason, I can't see the top of the bracket where Wu played, but I know he had to win at least 4 matches to be where he is now. So, counting that, it appears team China is currently 8-3 in this event.
As for team Taiwan, again not knowing about the top of the bracket, it appears they are 12-5. In both cases, not too shabby. Hopefully, I didn't overlook anything, so this may be an approximation, so take it for what it is worth.
Ko pin played in Pro Event at BCA in Riviera around 3 years ago. Darren Appleton beat him. Darren beat him again in one of the International events in one of the Far East countries. He is NOT a new kid on the Block.
Meanwhile another "who the f*ck is this guy?!" asian, Dang Jinhu, got BIH from Jayson Shaw early in their 4th rack,
ran out, then broke'n'ran another 4 racks... here's another guy with Shane-like breaks where he occasionally
makes both 2nd row balls + the four railer.
They probably have started to teach that break in high school clubs in China
and we'll see 37 guys hitting it better than shane next year.
Only a ball blocking his view of the 1 has ended the package, and Jayson has
been forced to kick in this current rack. I think they're on a break now. This may end up being
a 9-1 thrashing.
