I thought I'd break this recent exchange out separately. If you're interested, PM me.

Have you ever considered writing a book? Just a thought.
Thanks again for sharing your experiences.
Thanks, MOJOE.
The book thing has been a running joke since the days of RSB (my wife hounds me about it all the time). Even today, guys I know oft times encourage me to do it. My stock answer is that when the day comes that I break a leg, or hip, or knee, or whatever, I'll spend the time recuperating writing something up.
But lately, I've been thinking otherwise. I'm coming up on my 60th birthday soon and am thinking about starting up a web site to kind of get things rolling. You know: organized things and get see how much interest there really is out there.
Over the years I've written all kinds of trip reports, original stories, playing advice, product reviews, and just my general ruminations on the game. Lately, I've stopped doing some of that here (as have many other worthy contributors) because the culture here lately has been that if an amateur writes something up -- no matter how worthy or insightful -- someone with a higher batting average comes along with their fan boys and whatever you have to share ends up getting lost in fanboy ecstasy.
Sooooo, if I get it rolling, and there is support, there may be a web site soon, and then a very small run, limited edition, hard bound leather book.
I've cleared out my PMs, so if anyone wants to sign up in advance (should I ever get this thing off the ground), they are free to do so. If there's no real interest, I'll let it go.
