Using Foam with Cyno

I think MEK is the one you can touch with your finger (just a little bit) and you get a taste of Butterscotch in your mouth within seconds - absorbs into the skin and travels very quickly.
Not that this is useful or pertinent.

I picked up some Mek to thin uv clear,
It was tough to get!
The supplier wanted to be sure I wasn't using it to make meth or something?

CA/ foam wedges

here is a link on foam wedges.

My wife sold mary kay products and she gave me all kinds of little foam brushes.
They work real good on dead people. No complaints.
But suck when it comes down to applying CA .

I haven't tried the playing cards yet But if it works good I can check into buying a case of used playing cards from the casino . that would make a very cheep way to apply CA
and epoxy.

I thought that you only used the foam wedges with a water bases finish?

Truth is I am getting away from using CA finish.

I am using epoxy now,

Dave, I use paper towels, It just takes getting use to the feel and reaction of the CA. You have to keep It wet and moving, and if It starts to feel scratchy get off of It immediately. At that point You may even want to sand and start fresh again where you left off. It depends If You got off of the work piece in time or not. If you see any white, then you definitely have to sand or It will get locked into the finish.

I Also do a epoxy base beforehand, and use a combination of nitrile gloves and playing cards to apply that. I don't think I have tried the playing cards for CA though.

Check out post # 11. I had my doubts, but I tried it and it works! Grey Ghost really helped me out with his advise. Yes, I know it doesn't make sense with all the time spent trying to keep any oils or grease far far away while applying finish. The big tip from me is to use the same towel you apply the oil with to appy the CA. Thank you GG where ever you are.

I just use a few drops per once as a catalyst to cure aclic molding resin.
Use it real thick! Apply with spreader turning slowly.
