On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Great day today........

Had a lesson with John at Conway lounge and then at 7:30 showed Chris how it's done at Breakers billiards.

John had a crooked stroke that I eventually got straightened out. This was not your typical crooked stroke. I have only seen this one other time in all my lessons. it took about an hour to figure out how to do the fix but we got it.

Once we had it the balls started flying in the holes. John already plays pretty good. he won the tournament at the Conway Lounge last weekend.

Look out for this guy in the near future.

Got a room closer to breakers today. Ended up paying $350 anyway. that's allot for a room for one week.

Tomorrow night I will be working with the league at the pool hall. Anyone is welcome.

Up up and away to bed.

Nothing Is More Important Than .......

Aim........Blame.......Maybe?

The most important element in pool is to have a solid mechanical platform employing a stroke that's steady, smooth and a balanced pendulum. Cue ball speed is the greatest variable to master unless you're still a elementary, lesser skilled player.........:That's just my opinion but it's based upon 43 years of living on the felt.

If the sights are off on the rifle you can't hit the target unless you guess well.

The stroke, stance and all the things that are involved in shooting a pool shot are very important but if the sights are off on the rifle there is no way you can hit the target.

I just learned something that nobody else had ever figured out and that is how to find this natural sight and show players how to keep it on the target. Easier said than done.

I know many good teachers out there and even after i show them how this works they have trouble teaching and explaining it correctly to the student. Like anything, practice makes Perfect and you even need to practice teaching or you can get a little rusty at it. This takes allot of practice to teach it well.

If you had trouble with your tranny on your car would you take it to a place that fixes 3 per year of would you take it to a place that does 20 per week.

I guarantee that the place that does 20 a week has already seen just about everything they can see with what can go wrong trying to fix one. They might even be able to tell you if something else is wrong.

Or if you were trying to learn how to drive a race car would you like to learn from Rusty Wallace or Sam that used to race at the dirt track 30 years ago.

Rusty might even be able to show you some special things. Do ya think.

I teach all of the aspects of pool and I'm glad to say I have learned at a rapid pace giving probably more lessons per week than anyone in the world over the last 5 years.
And I'm not saying I'm the best but I'm getting allot of practice seeing things over and over and figuring so many new things out every week.

Most teachers are in one spot. Your player pool is kind of limited. By traveling from town to town I am able to reach and help as many as 10 to 50 players in one week. If I was just in one spot you kind of run out of Players to help.

When i give a lesson like I did the other day and the guy says to me this is the first lesson that I've had in my life where I really feel like I learned something that will really help my game. 67 years old and still plays at a higher level, that is huge. To me this was a very special lesson to hear that come from a guy like him. His name is Richard.

He had the stroke, stance and all the other tools needed to get it done but he told me it just wasn't happening. He would just have that bad match or that bad day.

I'm going to get a video testimonial from this guy and maybe put it on utube with a link so people can tell their story about this themselves. If Richard had known what I teach I'm sure he could have competed with anyone in the world. He plays that good. Even at 67 he would give almost anyone in the world a run for their money in a race to 9 or 15.

Bottom line though. Once a player learns how important getting those eyes Perfect is there is no telling them this isn't the most important part of the puzzle with making a shot.

I see this happening over and over and over and over and over and over and over every week.

Kind of like a broken record but a good broken record.

Once upon a time I even had other pool teachers in the past tell me that not everuone has a dominant eye!

That is so rediculous it's rediculous. Everyone has one. And I have become very expert at finding it on everyone.

Out of 10,000 players I have helped find their domonant eye, I have found 10,000 dominant eyes. That's pretty conclusive wouldn't you say.

The person that says not everyone has one? I wonder how many they have tried to find?

Exactly.

And the few times they tried to and couldn't figure it out they might just say.

I don't think you have a dominant eye. And leave it at that. And who are you to argue with their assessment.

You don't know how to find it either. And many times the poiting and circle tests just don't work for people.

And trust me when I say this.

If you can't determine the correct dominant eye you cannot tweak your aim to the top of your ability even if you hit 2 million balls.

Knowing how to put the sight in the sight and hitting the target is the one most important part of shooting a gun.

You can shoot from the hip and hit the target if your practicing like that about 500 shots a day. As soon as you don't hit 500 a day your in trouble.

if you learn how to use the sight you can still hit the target. Even if you only hit 25 per day.

Pool is no different. There is a natural sight and to conclusively find it you need to know the dominant eye.

Oh well, I'm just going to keep doing what i do and the players that doubt will just have to keep wondering until they see it with their own eyes.

Got to go. Got lessons to do at Breakers Billiards in Pittsburgh, Pa.

Great day yesterday............

It all started at the room when I got a call from John L.

We had worked on his stroke and did the whole Perfect Aim lesson the day before.

He wasted no time and went down to Breakers to play Ben, a player that he hadn't beaten the last 8 or 9 times they played.

He was pretty excited as he told me that he beat Ben. And he told me how much everything we worked on had helped him.

What a way to start out my day. I was pumped. This is why I do what I do.

As John experienced, the Perfect Aim system works right away. Many players are being held back by their eyes. If you play 8 hours a day, 7 days a week you will naturally get these eyes in a pretty good position but never to Perfect. Especially if you play only 2 or 3 times a week like most players that have to work for a living.

There is nothing wrong with this little shortcut. It's just teaching a player how to get these eyes in the most correct position so they can envision the shot correctly and the results are astounding for everyone.

Then i was off to the races.

I headed to breakers to work with their league players.

The first one was Heather. She had trouble even shooting the ball straight in. I told her in 15 minutes I'd have her shooting that ball in 5 times in a row. She looked at me in disbelief.

After 15 minutes she made it 6 times and then we just quit because I had another student to work with. Hard telling how many she would have made in a row.

This is so exciting for these players. Heather could hardly believe it herself.

10 minutes later she was guiding her husband over for the perfect Aim mini lesson.

The night was a big success. Every player that came over was amazed as usual.

Until a player sees this with their own eyes they can't even imagine.

I only set up 2 personal lessons last night with about 3 maybes. These players will improve their games real fast.

I guess the best way to explain it is your driving the car for about 5 years and there is a block of wood under the gas pedal so you can only go 50 miles an hour.

By showing players where these eyes have to be it's like I just removed the block of wood. Now they can even drive on the interstate because they can go 70.

It just brings them up to the speed they should be with their game. They have all the tools they need with there stroke and stance to be at the level they are. they just need to straighten out the sight on the gun.

I'll be heading down to breakers again tonight. Can't wait.

I feel like the luckiest guy in PA right now. How many people can get up and can't wait to get to work?

One for sure and that's me.

frank came up to me last night and said where do you get all the energy? I told him I'm doing something I truly love.

At nighttime when I crawl into bed i usually don't have anything left in the tank. But that's OK.

Just need to recharge and go at it again.

It's great having Gene here! He is a great teacher and very patient. It was league night last night and my play was definitely improved. Feels great watching those balls drop. Have to take advantage when a guy of this caliber is in your area!

Other people were amazed too while Gene was giving them the mini lessons, his energy is so contagious and he has just a great love for teaching the game.

Thanks Frank for your thoughts..........

Your passion for the game is unmatched by noone.

I was really impressed how much you remembered and how you were doing the right things with your alignment.

It's players like yourself frank, spreading the word, that help make my stay a success.

Everyday here in pittsburgh I'm getting more calls for lessons. I'm surprised at the outpour of interest.

But just like most places i've been, once the word of mouth starts spreading about how well this works I get real busy.

Lesson tonight and Sat. Sunday is full and it looks like I might be staying here a little past Monday to get everything done.

Pittsburgh is great and they love their pool for sure.

Just learned another important method to aim even better than before..

I was playing pool last night with Richard Namie and all of a sudden i stumbled upon a a little technique to help him keep the eye dominance even more Perfect.

I'm really excited about this because it helps me out allot also.

Just when i thought I had seen it all another nugget falls right into my lap.

If I wan't doing so many lessons i never would have seen this. I'd say I'm averaging about 50 lessons a week. Usually only about 5 or 6 paid lessons with the rest being free or mini lessons. This puts me in the position to see the same things over and over and all of a sudden there it is.

Another effective way to shoot this game better than ever imagined.

Kind of like looking for gold.

If you never go to the field or mine that might have the gold your probably never going to find it.

My gold mine is all the lessons that i give each and every day. And the poolhalls and bars I go to.

I have 3 personal lessons on Sunday. I can't wait to try this out on all three Perfect Aim lessons.

Richard was really picking my brain last night.

Just was to say a big thanks to Richard for making me dig deep.

One man a van and the road.

Oh, and the nugget, It was a great big ROCK...................

Gave 2 lessons today and got some action....

One lesson was at Breakers. What a nice place to play.

One player I wish I could work with some more is Frank. This guy has got some real passion for the game and now he has some good things to work on.

We worked on eye patterns and a real solid stance.

Also worked on straightening out his stroke.

I teach every aspect of the game and Frank got a heaping helping of just a few of them.

I'd like to see where this young man is in a year from now. I'm assuming playing pretty good.

Then I went to a house and taught another player.

Later went to another pool hall and played some with Shane Jackson.

Kids got allot of talent. I wish I could talk him into a perfect aim lesson. All the guys after we played kind of acted like it was a joke.

Well, the jokes of them.

They just need to keep missing balls.

Bedtime and then it's off to the races again tomorrow. It's my last day here.

Have to see what the new day will bring.........

Last night in Pittsburgh............

The 2 main places that I did lessons was Conway lounge and Breakers billiards are both great places to play pool.

I have one more lesson to give at 1:00 Tuesday with Ken. other than that I will be heading west towards Wisconsin to try and time my trip to hit that big tourny in Beloit Wisconsin in a few weeks.

In the meantime I will be calling a few rooms to teach in along the way.

Has to be non smoking for sure.

When i go to a room I like to kind of work like their temporary house pro.

I do mini lessons for the pool leagues teaching them about Perfect aim and I also schedule personal lessons.

I offer the room owner a Perfect Aim lesson for free. A $200 value. They can take the lesson themselves or give it to their favorite customer. They usually make an excellent choice. Someone very deserving. In return all I ask is that i don't get charged any table time while I am there.

I don't cost the pool room a penny. If the tables are full I don't play. They need to make all they can.

This is a win win situation all the way around.

When I'm not doing a personal lesson or mini lessons with the leagues I can kind of try to stay in stoke. It gives many of the players a chance to play with a higher level player and learn a little by monkey see, monkey do method.

Looking at the map tonight and figuring out which way to go.

But no matter where I go it will be another adventure within itself.

Wish I was............

Hey Gene you coming around to New England by any chance I might take you up on a lesson.

LMK
Greg

Hi there Greg,
If I was there you would be my first stop.

I need to head back towards Beloit Wi. and my home town. There is a great $5,000 added tourny there August 23rd.
This is going to be a good one plus I have a couple of real good poolhalls to stop at on the way.

I might be following Tors 14 day reality show up there in the near future. You never know where this guys PR person is going to send him or me for that matter.

Looking for a poolhall on the way back right now as a matter of fact.

Perfect Aim is now in Columbus, Ohio..........

Got into town about 8:00. Started looking for a room right away.

I was in a motel 8 looking at a room and someone stole my bike.

I just bought it from Christian Pittsburgh before I came. I bought a bike rack also for $118.

I got out of there. The police told me I was in a bad area.

Nice bike too...........

Gene,

So sorry to hear about your bike. I had a great day yesterday with you. I really learned some great stuff!!

It really is so much easier to make shots when your eyes are aligned in the correct position. There is no adjustment from the time you line-up the shot, through getting down and finishing the shot! Great Stuff.

Good thing you weren't in Chicago. Another teen just got shot for his bike! It does suck though.

Need to get another bike today of tomorrow.

Good thing you weren't in Chicago. Another teen just got shot for his bike! It does suck though.

I can't run because the knees are junk. With the bike I can just gear it down and get some muscle work but the main thing I need is the cardio.

I'll get a big chain and lock it up. If some little worm tries it again at least he will need to work a little harder.

Sure wish that when something like this happens I could go back 20 years and lock that person up in a room with me for a minute.

We took care of things back in the old days.

But now I'm too old and with all the crack heads running around you'ld be after someone everyday in some cities.

you can't fight the whole world so you just need to be as safe as you can.

I know who did it. As I was walking back to look at a room a guy walked past me that I said hi to and he kind of turned his head and put his hand on his face like he was scratching it. He already had his target picked out. this was the second room I was looking at.

There was bed bugs in both of them. i know what to look for now!

The guy seemed a little jittery. That comes from the drugs.

In a way i feel sorry for people like that. Hope he gets his life together someday.

I can just buy another bike.

This guy is stuck with himself and life just like we all are.

Things don't get better until we make things better.

jail or death is not better and that is where people like these are heading.

It really bothers me when I hear about pool players, especially one that I know personally or anyone else for that matter that knowingly does this, Steal, to allow them to survive. And it can seem to be the answer until they get caught. Then it seems like anything but the answer.

good things happen when they get caught and maybe they figure it out and turn things around.

But for everyone that gets it turned around it seems like there are 10 stepping up to take their place.

Wish I knew the answer.

Be safe everyone.

damn Gene, if it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all....

btw, know what you mean about taking care of things like back in the day; like the Toby Keith song says - I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was. I'd love to catch some punk taking something of mine. I'm very easy going, but that's definitely a trigger for me!

ps....played Freddy (Fechter) last Saturday in the Koch Street tourney, and asked if you two got along well.....nothing but praise from Fred's lips; and that says a whole lot to me. Hope the travels start reaping you some reward.

I was only gone for about 2 minutes. If I would have been there and seeing them taking it i would have been all over them. I just can't help myself. It's just me.

I lose all fear when I'm pissed.

I ran my bar for 13 years. i did all my own bouncing.and kicking people out that were out of line.

I never got a fat lip, black eye or a bloody nose.

Like I said I'm a little older now but even if you kick an old dog in the teeth your probably going to get bit.

I might get hurt but one thing is for sure. that person wouldn't ever want anything to do with me again.

But then again, it's tough to give the whole world a lesson one at a time.

The Perfect Aim lesson is much easier>

sorry to hear that about your bike how long you in columbus for any rooms you visiting thursday during the day

Tommy in Cleveland

Maybe the guy was just giving you a mini lesson to see how you liked getting the bike stolen, and he was coming back for the vehicle.

In the future, wire a small battery through a hole in the door out to the bike frame or lock, and give him some nice shock when he touches the bike.

I

I went to 2 poolhalls tonight.be at Q stix tomorrow afternoon.

I'm pretty tired.

I had a pretty neat thing happen last night besides losing my bike.

I got back to the room and got the internet going. i turned on the TV and on Fox 28 they showed the picture of a young black girl that was missing.

I saw her at the Extended Stay Motel over by the Motel 8 where I got my bike stolen. Bad area. What are the odds of that. Pretty slim I'd say.

She was with a tall white kid. he seemed really nice and so was she. there was also a short black kid with them. he didn't say anything to me.

They were really nice and warned me how bad the area was. To look out.

I called the station. Almost didn't, i was so beat. they told me to call the police. They told me to call this other number and I got a recording. I called back the police and they told me to just leave a message. Nothing they could do. It is another division that handles that or something.

I told the lady that they will be gone in the morning. She said to just call back and leave the message.

Here i'm trying to help a mother find her daughter that is gone and underage i think, not sure of the situation, and I'm getting the run around.

I called and left the message and told them that they needed to get someone over there the first thing in the morning if they want to find her or they would be gone.

I called the police and they got her at the extended stay motel.

Mom got her baby back.

some of they players here on AZ might even have seen her picture on the news last night.

Kind of a good feeling to be a part of something like this.
