I had the pleasure of sitting down and talking to these two craftsmen during the OB Cues TARPIT in Vegas a few weeks ago. For anyone who doesnt follow the cue business, Eric Crisp is the maker of Sugartree Cues and Wes Hunter has been making Hunter Classic Cues for about 20 years.

The video is about 20 minutes long and I did not have my best day with the audio production. For some reason there was some clipping in the recording which drives me nuts but I think most people will have no problem watching it. Basically in a few spots it comes across as a popping/crackling sound but you can hear all of the discussion fine. If you dont like it I will give you your money back :D

It was a real pleasure to meet and get to talk with these guys. What they do fascinates me and it is always a pleasure to speak with masters of the trade. The cue in the intro is the cue that Eric Crisp donated to TAR and that Uwate now owns. We can't thank Eric enough for this amazing donation. I will keep saying it, cuemakers are a special breed. Thank you.

What a great interview!

It is so nice to see two top cuebuilders be so casual and down to earth. Eric and Wes seem to have different styles when it comes to cues but share a clear and similar work ethic.

Thanks for posting this!

I can honestly say, "I've NEVER heard Wes speak that much in all the time I've known him".......:D :D :D :D

FYI...I own cues by both gentlemen. They are GREAT cues!!!!!!!!!

The TAR cue came in the mail today. As I post this, I am leaving work with it and am going straight home to hit balls with it. Thanks again TAR and Eric!

:D

All i get is a ERROR message, please. could someone put another link up. I have several of Wes's cues and have owned around 8-10 of them in the past. I love them, have tried several other brands but always come back to my original cue I bought from Cornerstone about 7 years ago. Tom

Please any info on what ever happened to this Interview would be great I'm itching to hear it. After recently acquiring a Sugar and being hooked on Eric's cues I would love to hear some words on his work.

I think with out a doubt Eric makes the prettiest cues I have ever seen. The grade of wood he uses is incredible!
