Bogus Ball..from the start

I was there last week and i will say there was more traffic than i seen there in years, so perhaps it will pick back up again.

that's because WE were there, for WMC. 100K of us - just ask WMC's stats.
(it was more like 40K).
but same stats would hold true for last MAY Open - we were there, too for HDExpo @ Venetian/Sands.

you can call who you like NV is almost broke as Detroit.

true. for the past 3+/+ yrs.
in JAN 2010, Vegas Trump Tower's penthouse, dropped from $1M, to $125K. still hasn't sold. h_ll, now that i say it outloud - why didn't BBall buy/rent this????

Pretty much my thoughts. Don't know why anyone would invest in it, and if someone sees potential, and wants to throw $$ at it, why would they (the new investor) waste a month getting things on track?

to put them up against a wall.
if new investors - they owe $0, to past debts.
renegotiate @ 10cents/dollar, etc.
and assume @ this point that BB is GOB.

Thats usually the way it works Eric. My brother used to say that he liked to stay relatively on the broke side. That way no problems arose. As soon as a person gets a little extra for something special, wham, your fridge goes or something like it.

Seems to be the story of my life too.

Going out to buy a fishing boat tonight when the wife gets home. If I can just keep everything cool until then, it will be a miracle.

I'll probably drop the transmission in my truck on the way over to the guys house.

We all know how this turns out:

Yes, yes we do..

If you listen very closely, they plan on starting another pro pool game..

This is kinda random, but I remember a lot of random shit you've typed throughout years of my trolling. I know you've used before, but have you considered TRT? Even if you can't workout, your natty levels are probably screwed from previous years of use. I'm a HUGE advocate of trt. Actually having energy, not having to chomp down perc's to feel like I can function without pain. I've been competing in powerlifting for 16+ years so I got a hell of a lot of dings I should have fixed when they were dings instead of big holes now lol.

Have the same you. One back op and one highway accident later, back and leg are worse. Plus, just diagnosed with some unfixable lung problems.

So, a bad day fishing is much better than a day sitting around *****ing about the aches and pains that come with old age.

Yep, I suck at fishing too. Last weekend, went out shore casting twice. Tried every lure and bait combo I could think of, nothing. But no one else was getting anything either.

On a day when the sun is shining, the water is like glass, one rod over with a pickeral rig, casting and jigging with another. A couple of cold beverages, ham sammies. It don't get better than that, even if they ain't biting.

Looking for a Lund but going to settle for a smaller 14' for the rest of this year and maybe go for something bigger next year.

I do have a 4 man ice fishing pop up tent tho. Now thats some fun stuff, specially in Canada were we can ice fish most of the year.

I used for years, I did PCR dope as well. My levels are fine, however i have other side effects(even with normal levels).

Been off pain pills for years, sometimes when i play pool i eat asprin, advil other OTC like candy it helps some.

What I have wrong with me isnt from roids, I have developed some systemic autoimmune disease, They thought I had Leukemia for a minute(i was scared shitless). I have had well over 100 vials of blood drawn in the past 6 weeks, add in Germany and that number goes up to 150-160. Still no diagnosis. This is the first time i said anything in public about it. I go next week the 19th for more cancer tests, yeah i'm a bit uneasy about that, 2% chance they come back positive. still scary.

I dont feel good, my whole body started to hurt in January, then it went away. it comes and goes. sometimes its in the joints other times its muscular. once in a while i feel 100% normal. they identified lots of problems with my blood-not related to roids, went over that with many different doc's. I never used high levels or did long cycles. I did blood work when i was on a cycle, never got gyno or zits, my nuts didnt shrink into raisins, I know lots of guys who had bad problems from too much. Guys taking 4000mgs/week. I was using 400mgs/week-I was a light weight steroid user. dont regret it at all.

Whats TRT?

Thanks man I appreciate it, i really do.

best
eric :)

i always dreamed of catching a big marlin and have it jump out of the water, i lived on a boat whan i was a kid(it was cheaper than a apartment in 71, my dad & mom were on short $$$, it was a very cool life style, i was real young. we lived on a dock where they repaired the boats, the yacht club people lived on the other side-this was in San Diego.

When the marlin fisherman would come in with a marlin they would fire off a canon, BOOM!!! you could hear it for a mile, after 6 booms or so we would go look at all the fish hanging up-long before catch & release days. They brought them all in, take pictures with the date, weight of the fish, time it took to land it etc. was very cool. After they finished up some people would take their fish home and other guys who were there every week would give the fish away.

We didnt have a refrigerator or freezer we had a ice box-the kind we had to put a huge block of ice in every few days, ( iremember walking with my mom to the ice house-she didnt drive) to buy ice for the ice box. so we didnt get lots of marlin cause we had no way to keep it, so we would eat it for 2 or 3 days until we got more. it was fun, and tasted good.

I wonder how many people here grew up without a refrigerator that are my age? See thats why I never take anything for granted, people dont realize the road to where your at aint always the same road you started on. I didnt want a ice box, my friends had color TV,cable TV, air conditioners. I had none of that until I was on my own, we did get a refrigerator by the time I was 10 or 11. I hated growing up like that, so i fixed it. My mom and dad were from the depression era and lived that way their whole life, not me. thats for other people i would tell them-they never got it. My uncle just died-never had a new car in his life until he was 80-i bought it for him.

Actually, not too far off. We had a wood ice chest that you put a block of ice in the bottom. Wood stove for cooking and heat, out door toilette and coal oil lamps.

I loved watching Dad light the oil lamps every evening. They gave off such a warm glow.

I hauled water twice a day until we dug a well and then we had cold running water. Had to heat it on the stove to wash up.

Washed my hair in the rain barrel in the summer. The good ole days, yes? There are some of those memories that I wouldn't trade for anything.

We did have a radio and played cards and sat around a fire in the summer. Winter was darn cold in the morning. Had to wear socks to bed cause the floor was ice cold when you got up. Usually waited until someone else used the toilette so they warmed the seat up a bit for you.

Ahhh, the smell of pine scented Misto Van in the morning wasn't as pleasant as Napalm.

That is a beautiful story. Good read.

Forums are funny, first we were crying about MoNITS Ball and now we are celebrating your journey.

Here's a little quote from the Dali Lama XIV

“Man surprised me most about humanity.Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

Eric

I'm not telling you how to think. That's the Dali lama's biz.

I will tell you this (which I'm sure you already know). If you perceive that you are in a trap, then you are in a trap.

All the best

Kevin

That's a pretty good quote, Kevin.

Here's another one from Seven Years in Tibet, possibly the only reason I remember that movie..

Dalai Lama: We have a saying in Tibet: If a problem can be solved there is no use worrying about it. If it can't be solved, worrying will do no good.
