Grudge Match - Columbus, Ohio August 20,21

Now that's funny.................

Kickin chicken asking bout a 3 foul rule..got to love the irony in that..get it..chicken-fowl..lol:rolleyes:

Good one there:rolleyes:

I was at Sportsmans Billiards 2 days ago and the guy in back of the bar told me that we might want to play on a different table. the one we were playing on is a gaff table. The pockets were almost as tight as Chris bartrams table at Players.

He thinks he has the tightest table. He needs to come over and play a little on this 9'er that we're going to play on Tuesday at 7:00.

I didn't say anything because he was pretty proud of the toughest table in town.

If you came over and played a little on the Chris's table he might he might feel like he's playing 10 ball on a snooker table.

These pockets are pretty tight so when we do hang up an occasional; ball in the pocket here and there that ball would have zoomed in on most tables.

I really don't even like to practice on tables where the pockets are too tight because it starts taking away part of the game. Have to be too careful to make the ball and not get shape.

This is a different game for sure and not for the squeemish.

This will be a drag down, knock down brawl on the table.

The difference could be one hung up ball here or there.

The table is the equalizer for sure. It's like the third person in the game. You have to play against the opponent and the table. And the table is the biggest obstacle.

Got to go down and get a new tip put on.

One man a van and the road.

Thanks
It would have to be on my table and you can't quit winner
We can have time limits each day

I was just kind of curious more than anything else. I'll mention it to him, if I see him any time soon. Would love to see that match go down, even more than this one.

I'm also guessing the bet is a bit higher than $500 if you were to play Shane... ;););)

Yes it would be
And I do think with the magic rack he is the best in the world

I guess that's up to Chris,

will there be a 3 fowl rule?

best,
brian kc

His table, his town, his poolhall, his cue ball, his magic rack and i guess it will be his rules.

One thing he told me is that if I want I can use the normal rack but i think i will pass on that one for sure. If you can get those balls going in the side on the break it could be the big difference in the match. One guy could control the whole thing.

I prefer the normal rack for both of us. That makes it mostly have to be smashmouth old fashion type of break.

In 9 ball the magic rack turns it into a joke. In 10 ball the magic rack can also turn it into a joke.

But on this table each player still has to get out. I don't see any advantage there at all.

But could be a contest to see who can soft break the best and make the balls in the side?

If he wants 3 foul that's OK with me. I think we need it for sure.

If it's only up to me, Yes...........

Yes I did..........

Did you get that Kamui I gave you put on?

For some reason it got playing allot harder ,quicker than a normal Kamui.

I don't know the reason for it or it just might be loose.

This is how it reacts. Like a tip that has the glue a little loose on one side.

I'll find out if i can get another one put on today.

I just don't get the spin I need when i need it and come up short.

Hard telling what the problem is but the bottom line is it isn't getting the job done.

Hope you, Steph and Jesse are playing well.

Thanks again gene.............

Well that is too bad, I hope you find the right tip for you.

We are all doing well. Steph is in Spain right now visiting her sister.

I will be seeing ya in Beloit, and I bought your stream.

I have the side project we discussed almost ready its take a lot more time than I thought due to some things not being as I had hoped.

Good luck tomorrow!

You'll get NO argument from me on that one. Pretty strong, if that's all you need from the best in the world.

I'd like to see you guys do that match up, play something like $1-2k a rack only the looser can walk away. 10-12 hour sessions per day, till some one pulls up.

That would be the match of a life time!!!

ShortBusRuss can't hit the back rail with the 9 ball so I doubt if he is "on the road", unless the paddy wagon has him and he is being transferred.

JoeyA

Absolutely correct, Joey-with-the-Accent.... I cannot hit the back rail with the 9 ball, even WITH ball in hand...

Why do you think I am always asking for the orange crush from mediocre players...

I'm just tryin' to make a fair gaaaaaaaaaaaaaame here, peeple...

You forgot 1 rule that I want

We bet more money

1 man and no aiming system

My buddy got all he wants...............

I saw it. Don't like the terms. Are you against offering any games on the wire ? No low balls please :)

He got 5,6 and 7 games on the wire.

He might even give some up RJ.

I'll ask him. if he does I'll send you a PM....I'll find out tonight.

This guys got deep pockets but he wasn't going to take any even bets out there when he can get the games on the wire.

I hope I'm not that big of an underdog here. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Got to see how well Chris shoots on these little pockets also.

This table will be the determining factor here for sure.

What would really be cool is if we could just switch to the bar table and keep all the same bets.

I really like that game.

Another time and another place.................

if you switch to a barbox, let me know, I'll drive down with money in my pocket :) You're the fav there....

I know you have a shot to take this.... but there is no reason not to get the right price for the game... only asking what he asks for when he plays tough dudes :)
