I've met Geno, only briefly, and seen him play a little. I enjoy his posts, and his take on traveling while matching up and giving lessons. He is the underdog hear no doubt. The thing is, even a long shot, is still a shot. I think Geno has it right with his money. It would be a bad deal to blow your whole bank roll matching up with Bart. Hard to believe he doesn't have a bigger bank role by now, but it is what it is. I wouldn't play Bart even, if I were Geno, so he has my kudos for that.


Just out of curiosity, Chris, what would you need from SVB to make a game? (10ball and 1p) I need the rainbow, and sometimes that's not enough... Guy plays too good!!!

So… 500 dollar is the bet… 80 viewers and the loser breaks even. Maybe I’m missing something because I hate to knock on anyone’s business (though technically Bigtruck is doing this for free), but I don’t see why anyone would want to pay for this.

Either CB wins this like everyone thinks he will in which case every PPV purchase adds to the Geno’s free-roll funds; or Geno wins and we can wonder why he is too nitty to bet more when he has so many “friends” ready to believe in him and CB is ready to take all bets. It's lame either way.

Either bump up the bet, or make the PPV funds 100% winner and 0% loser, and I’ll be first in line to buy this. As it is… I can't justify supporting this cop-out matchup with two people playing for "pride"... wtf is that worth.

Did Gene say that?? I must have missed that post. I think Gene said he feels good, and will give you a run for your money because he's confident..... not bad for a guy pushing 60 with injuries and a terrible disease he's had to fight for many years.

Folks moan because nobody wants action, everyone wants the nuts, nobody has any gamble, and Gene steps up and he takes flak for it... tip your cap, he's stepping up in the box with you, and you're gonna make a few coins along the way. It's all good :)

$500! Ray posted that the stakes were a "Goose." I guess I now know what a Goose is, though I would have guessed a grand = a goose. With $500 from each, I suppose you could say there's a goose in the middle.

Whose goose will get cooked? Who will get the goose? Who will lay the golden egg? Will it be good for the gander?

I could go on all day...
 
The other day, Fatboy referred to playing pool as "pushing around the eggs" or something like that. Now we are betting geese. WTF is next?!?!?

Just playing catchup on this thread...I like this post. It's easy to say we all would do this behind the ol keyboard, but actually doing it vs champions is definitely good sh*t...props to saw on the post and Bartrum for mixing it up in both good and bad situations on the felt!

1 day away from this epic Grudge Match! I hope this poolroom ya'll are playing in has got security! This thing could get out of hand if one guy gets pissed off here.
