Should transsexuals be allowed to play women's sporting events?
Boxing, tennis, MMA, archery, swimming, riffle shooting, pool?

If yes, At what point is the transition is this ok? When they feel like a woman (say someone like jason hunt decided he feels like a woman one day and wants to clean up in ladies tournies) When they start taking hormones? When they get there penis taken off and have a vagina built?

I think as long as he's still has a man's gene he shouldn't be allowed to play in a women's tournament.

It like a person that's half black, they are known as black. It's the dominant gene. Male genes should be classified as this.

How is it the dominate gene? They are known as black in the media such as Tiger , Obama.

You figured it out.

No amount of hormones or surgery will change XY chromosomes. They make men and women's divisions in every sport for a reason.

Ummm.....A.........well......hmmmm...uknown...........ummmmm....well....are they serious about the chromosomes thing?If the chromosome thing is still there i would say no.

No - and especially if he/she still has male reproductive organs. Either way - it is still no.

Don't do it, dorabelle, it's not worth it.

My mom likes to tell a story about a bowling league she was in 30 years ago. There was a team that had three women that were born as men but bowled in the womens division anyhow. They all had gone through sex change operations and just appeared to be very large women. From what my mom says they destroyed the entire league every season until everyone else quit one year.

Is it fair? No way. But I'd guess their hands are tied if they don't want a lawsuit.

It's pretty simple. If you're born with a:

Hangie = Men's events

Innie = Women's events

I voted "no" in the above survey.

I am 100% for those who identify under the LGBT umbrella. It's a right to choose one's own path in life that will lead to health and happiness.

However, our DNA is the "biomarker" that constitutes whether we were born either a man or woman. If an organization, club, or any other entity expects its members to be categorized under either male or female for the purposes of participation, then those members must identify themselves under the appropriate (and natural) category.

Being a transsexual (TS) does NOT change one's DNA, it only changes how ONE wishes to be seen; sexual reconstructive surgery notwithstanding.

Of course, if there were a pool event that was open to ALL participants (Male & Female) then this makes no difference.

they're debating letting pre-op trannie boys use the girls restrooms at schools so it wouldn't surprise me at all. I don't think so though, although whether you were born with a penis or not should not matter much in pool. It's not like you're expected to dunk the cue ball in a 10 foot tall pocket or tackle your opponent.

do not know who is hitting them, nor do they care- there should be no separation of men and women.

I remember the exact moment I knew I was ready for women's sports:

Somehow I have the disturbing picture all of this started with the incredibly emotionally stable Buffalo :rolleyes: showed you a picture of himself in a dress and now you, like the rest of us, are all mildly shocked, but not surprised.

In the end, the only rational response I can make is; now it's time to drink until the part of my mind that makes mental images just dies.

The question need not be asked until an identifying women tries to play an official event who has the XY chromosomes in qustion. I do not think the current women have the XY thing though some of them are fairly masculine and probably are the top to their partners bottom.

If it comes to that and the event is played in New York there is prior law, I am refering to Renée Richards (born August 19, 1934) is an American ophthalmologist, author and former professional tennis player. In 1975, Richards underwent sex reassignment surgery. She was denied entry into the 1976 US Open by the United States Tennis Association, citing an unprecedented women-born-women policy. She disputed the ban, and the New York Supreme Court ruled in her favor in 1977. This was a landmark decision in favor of transsexual rights.[2]

I think it is an interesting question Dora as the women want to be included without barriers in the working world, beaing able to break the glass ceiling, wage equality but perhaps some of them want a protected environment for things such as sports, perhaps others would say let anyone who doesnt dangle play.

As for me if it come to an XY person getting the change then trying to play in a WPBA event I will bet 10k and take the field and let whoever wants it to take the was man now woman if they want action. The same holds true for any major tennis or golf event. Contact me when it is ready to go. I got the field of women and am giving up the player who is changing sides and wants to bat for the XX's.
