Any ideas on who this cue was made by?

It looks like it, but the butt seems to be different and indeed reminds of Rich cues. I am not convinced that it is factory, but suspect it is hand done. Why do you believe it is a Palmer?

Looks similar I guess. Don't really have any other reasons.

vikin......

Perl maybe, but such a window cue on a viking? Never saw one, plus the short points?... I still think it could be a conversion, but I could be wrong. The description suggests this also along with the matching grain on the cue around the joint.

This is most definatly an Abe rich cue.

That's what I thought! Although the description suggests that someone stated it was just a Rich Cue and the material on the butt is what was used in NY, the feeling is of the Abe Rich cues in my opinion. What made you so sure it was done by Abe?

I believe the cue is a Rich cue but probably made by The Rich Cue Company (Saul Rich) rather than Abe Rich at Star Cues

Any idea on how we could get you to follow the rules?

For sale rules:

After a great deal of time and expense we have finally come up with a set of forum rules that may work. This new set of rules frees you up to buy and sell more items (including new), but before you buy or sell you need to understand the ground rules:

1) The entire forum is caveat emptor. Let the buyer beware. Neither AZBilliards nor any of its owners, employees or agents makes any claims concerning the value or usefulness of any item offered herein for sale. AZBilliards accepts no responsibility whatsoever for the content of the threads on this forum or for any of the merchandise that is sold here and does not do background checks or any other checks on individuals using this forum. AZBilliards is never to be considered a source of recourse for deals gone bad. We do not inspect merchandise, and we deny any and all liability arising from the use of this forum.

2) If you are going to participate in the " Wanted / for Sale " area of AZB, your items for sale or trade MUST be pool related or strictly offered for trade for a pool related item.

3) Any Posts without an Item For Sale, Trade or Wanted to buy will be deleted.

4) "Price check" threads are not allowed.

5) There will be no cash offers etc. for non-pool related items.

6) If you are going to post in another's sale or trade thread, if you are knocking their thread, you will receive warnings and bans as with regular rule violations.

7) You have no right to criticize or complain regarding pictures, prices etc.

8) Everyone is expected to participate in a civil manner and if there are violations, you may report them anonymously via the "report post " button in the upper right hand corner of each post.

9) Either buy from an individual or don't but knocking them is not an option.

10) It is also strongly suggested that you use an escrow service when making any purchase.

11) Over-active bumping is not allowed. If most of the replies to your post are bumps that is overactive bumping. Anything more than a single bump in any 48-hour period is over-bumping.

12) Your use of this forum reflects your consent of these rules and that you will in all ways hold AZBilliards harmless from any liability arising from the use of this forum.

13) All Questions and replies to questions should be done via PM and not in the sales thread. It will be considered a bump to do so. ( Dave Wilson )

...and so did Abe. I've owned a couple of them. They might have been made when Abe was still at Saul's shop, but Abe's nephew still sells a few on Ebay that were in Abe's shop when he died.

1 - I am not selling this cue. Someone else on Ebay was selling it. I was curious and wished to compare opinions on what it is.
2 - I have always treated this site with respect and expect the same in return.... I do not appreciate your tone or your implication.
3 - I posted a question regarding an origin of a cue. That is all. If I posted it in the wrong place, then just let me know. There is no need to hit me with a bad rep.
4 - Your implication that I am repeating something against the rules knowingly and for many times is false and misleading to other members. Thank you.

No, it's really not. You broke three rules just by posting this thread. It doesn't belong in this section.

That was my guess. I suppose we will never know.

Now... Did I post this question in the wrong place? What's this bad rep and all this fuss about? Just trying to have a calm, intelligent conversation with people here about a cue I am NOT selling. The seller on Ebay is not me by the way and I have no idea who he or she is. Can't we all just get along? :-)

Some people

Wonder how you ever get to having all the time in the world to go around being a ***** to people that are genuinely trying to learn something about the sport we all love sure they could've pm'd but with open opinions it leaves open ended conversation for others to join on, which you did indeed do, just to make yourself feel important or in charge. I know I don't post much so go ahead with the usual whatever because I only have 11 posts, but I just felt like weighing in cause even though you may be technically right anyone with half a brain should think your wrong. Just my opinion

Ben
