When it's slow at work it can get entertaining at least for me to pass the time and maybe post a comment/question occasionally. It seems like people get so butthurt on some of these threads that it cracks me up.
Ain't it the truth. Most of this stuff here has to be taken with a grain of salt, anyway.

I hang out at Brickyard in Indy on occasion, and I believe all of the players involved in any action with the duo are aware ofthe situation. So either it's BS, Gene was unaware, or Gene was intentionally trying to mislead.
Of course people are surprised, but I believe that's mainly on this forum. We all have baggage and I don't understand why it is anyone's business other than those directly involved.
As far as "action" in concerned, when you walk into a pool room looking for a game there are usually ones there that are trying to "trick, trap, etc" you out of your money. That is part of the pool room allure, if you will. You as an individual can always say no. But the "greed monster" comes out, and when the person loses they are looking for someone/something to blame. In a perfect world, everyone is honest, nobody deceives, and everything is peaches and cream, but we both know that's a pipe dream..lol. And I just don't see the deception in this scenario...

Well, I finally get the gist of this thread, and I must say it took a turn I doubt anyone could have predicted.
The best thing about the pool hall is you have all walks in there. All types of people. All races, education, employment, bums, religion, etc., you name it. All that matters at the end of the day is if you can make balls. The rest is just bs when it comes to pool.

I agree. A good thing about the mix in the pool hall, is that is forces bigots out of their closets and you get to see people for who they really are, what their biases are, and...most importantly...how it affects their game.

She is from St.Louis and is now out living her dream playing pool. A dream she always had. Just let her be. She plays about a c level or a 6 or 7 on a scale to 14. It looks like she is playing cheap , I saw a set for $10 on here, and not hurting anyone.

My question to you is- how do you KNOW that she is a he? Or are you just going by the rumor mill on this? Any idea how she might feel is she really is a she??
imo if a player gives some one a few games on the wire for the simple fact its a girl or thinks she is a girl deserves to be conned. in other words their ego is writing checks their stroke can't cash.
let me give you an example. years ago i was playing a guy and was up a 100.00. i decided i had enough because i had been playing for about 4 hours aganst other guys before i played him for an hour. he started jawing about playing one more for a chance to get his money back. my wife at the time who had been on the dance floor with some other girls for a while had come up and heard the conversation piped up and said she would play 1 game for the 100.00 i had won off him.
he started laughing and said no woman could beat him. i told him she played as good as me and he started laughing even more. she asked me for his 100.00 and i gave it to her and she said put your money where your mouth is. she proved him wrong lol.
now if rhea is in fact a man and going through the process of becoming a woman i see nothing wrong with what she/ he is doing as far as playing pool. what proof do you have that rhea is in fact a man .
to me what she is doing is not as decieving as known short stops back in the day changing their appearance when out on the road hustling. heck even c j wiley has posted on here bragging about disguises and aliases he has used when on the road.
