Welcome back Earl:

I was hoping he made it

Reading my posts means you consent to my incorrect spelling and poor typing skills.

Earl, Earl, Earl, Earl, Earl, Earl.

Man, all this talk about Earl. I wish I had a quarter for every time Earl's name was mentioned on this forum. :grin-square:

Well, the Earl discussion is so rampant lately on AzBilliards that I actually had a friggin' dream last night about him.

I entered a pool tournament and pulled Earl my first round. Everybody was giving me tips and pointers how to beat him. I was scared to death in my dream. Earl sat over on the sidelines, cool as a cucumber, knowing he had to play me. He even chuckled when he saw me put my cue together.

I woke up at 2 a.m. and realized it was a dream. Whew! :embarrassed2:

Earl, I'd rather watch you play pool than have to play against you.

Has anyone noticed that Earl tries to be a good guy when SVB is around?

No, I have not noticed that. In fact, some of his most deplorable behavior has been against Shane- saying he wishes he were deaf like Shane so he could ignore distractions, throwing his cue stick around in the 10 foot match, basically quitting in the most recent 9 ball TAR match against Shane. I'm a big fan of Earl, but he has not been on his best behavior playing Shane.

Yeah! He seems to treat SVB with more respect, maybe cuz Shane's young enough that Earl
can feel kind of fatherly around him, or like the old mentor and the young apprentice.
Something like that. He doesn't give shane as much shit as others, maybe that's cuz
shane just handles it so perfectly. He hits there and smirks and says nothing.
In some perverse way earl might respect that more than guys who rise to the bait.
