Found some stuff, picked it up, can anyone help me out on some history? I know a bit about most of this, but not the tips or the peas.
Sweet snag! Antique store? I love hunting for old stuff
Ivory ferrule, yes?
When Kieckhefer made Triangle chalk, they used the phrase "King of them all".
I don't much about this stuff, but I hope that helps.

Oh that's right!! I wonder if/when they made tips.. Hmm.
The pills are for Kelly Pool It was the Sunday afternoon game before 3-Ball. We played 15 ball rotation. $1.00 on the fifteen. $.50 on each pill. Make your number and everyone paid you $.50. Make someone else's ball they paid you $.50. Four or five players in game.
The tips are from the 40's to 60's era. I believe they were made from the hide of a Water Buffalo, which was the best leather available at the time. The "chrome" tips came from the underbelly of the animal which was a lighter color and softer. I remember seeing them used in the 60's by cue repair guys who came to Johnston City. They would charge you $5 to put a new tip on your cue, an outrageous price in that day.
We charged 90 cents an hour for two players. After "The Hustler" came out, the owner of the room raised the price to a buck an hour and the guys said they wouldn't play there anymore
