I was told that if John wants to replace the Ten Ball to full rack Bank we can bet a little more, anyone who might be well healed interested in John competing with me under this format please let me know. He can bet more than ten dimes if he wants - I like bank pool and feel it's one of my better games. So it would make sense that I would try and promote the game as being apart of any of my future challenge matches. So John you say that know one can help me, play me some full rack bank as one of the disciplines and you won't even have to have a microphone. I may not win but i will give it my best shot, bank is a better game to compete at than Ten Ball anyway. So again replace the ten ball with full rack bank and I am told we will raise $20,000 for the rematch sir - I am talking to you Mr. 400 and not any one else sir.

Kimberly just called me on the phone.. We had a conversation, about 10 minutes or so..

1. She said that Str8 Shots sponsored the event my son played in, but they did not run it. She is going to coordinate with us to make sure my son gets his scholarship.

2. She said that current status is - Because of pre-existing contractual stuffs, that normally Str8 Shots would have some part in producing/arranging such a matchup/stream, but because of the "blood feud" hype surrounding this matchup, they did not feel comfortable partaking, but that John was welcome to come to whatever arrangement TAR would want to put forth in this situation.

I told her it might be best to get an official statement from Str8 Shots as a separate thread, stating the above, even if they did not want to respond further, and that would do a bunch to stop this thread in it's tracks.

We all know misunderstandings can happen.

So.. I am still unsure where we stand. Hopefully Str8 Shots will make an official post, letting bygones be bygones?

Ok maybe Danny is just referring to the offer from Kim for them to get paid and not play right now. So then Danny would be correct in saying no to TARs offer right now.

I don't know why she thinks they will be good buddies by 2014. Maybe she thinks they just need time.

I don't know what to think about all of this at this point, but if Kimberly is willing to pay both parties to not play for Str8 Shots, Danny should accept the money and use it to get to Vegas where he has an actual match awaiting him.

My take is Kim doesn't think the real interests or motivation of her business are any of AZ's business, which I get, I really do. Nobody has to answer to "us". However, if that's the way she really feels, why the 2 big "explanations" ? I think she would have been far better off refraining or just saying NOYB. These explanations make no sense and it seems they have really done a disservice to Danny, who seems to think he has a match that everybody else says doesn't exist.

I'm more confused now than when this damn thing started. The only thing I know is Danny turned down Justin's offer so right now TAR is out (lol by the way at Danny mentioning the avatar with the gun when his nickname is the Springfield Rifle).

I have no idea what str8shots is doing and what their role is. I thought I was caught up until Danny says that they have an agreement in place for him and John to play next year for Mark and Kim.

I will say that I was told the match would take place, So I accepted the terms that Mark Cantrell offered and now I am accepting the offer that Kimberly has offered. I want to play and that has never been an obstacle for me, for anyone out there interested in John and I playing the third and final rematch - Kimberly has told me that we will in fact play.

I translate this as:

The match was halted NOT because of their corporate image or juniors, but because Str8 Shots didn't have their hand in the cookie jar!

So Kim makes a thread called "NO MATCH FOR HARRIMAN/SCHMIDT" but now she's giving terms to Danny????

Ah, now it's coming out. Imagine that -- it's not about the juniors after all! So, while the few Str8 Shots supporters were calling everyone like me an animal, now it seems all the lambasting was TOTALLY justified.

Danny, things to consider:

1) When someone gives you a FREE shot to make money, basically funding an exhibition match and pays for your expenses when you're there, they have the right to collect all of the future revenue of that match since they're the one who needs to cover their nut. They're the investor/producer - it's theirs. If you and John bet your own and pay for your own expenses and "allow" TAR to stream/record it, you have every right to ask about residuals.

2) TAR has produced your first two matches and has done a great job in doing so

3) STR8 Shots is a brand-new entity who may not be around tomorrow. So, if Str8 Shots agrees to pay you residuals, you have to consider their stability and chances of being around tomorrow. What sounds great isn't necessarily great - you have to weigh all options. TAR has a long history of paying players and "being here tomorrow." You can't get residuals when a company goes belly-up.

4) There are only residuals if people buy the DVD or pays for the stream. NO ONE will buy this match with Str8 Shots producing it. Trust me on that. Not with these snake moves.

I'm DYING to see this match, but I'll NEEEEEEVER buy this stream unless JCIN is producing it.... especially after these maneuvers by Str8 Shots.

DOWN TO THE BASICS OFTHIS MESS.

OK, so once I look at everything of what has happened and what can happen in the future. I think I have sorted it out after talking this through. At least enough to make sure that everyone is clear on this. Again there has been some confusion with, wording, timelines and plain crossed wires. So here goes.

The initial post by Str8-shots a (Mix up I believe) NO Schmidt/Harriman match. Kimberly was referring to the only match that she was aware of at that time. The one I was working on. After talking about the pros and cons decided that it was not the right match for Str8-Shots to produce. Hence the thought that it was not going to happen. That I believe was the start of things.
John's contract with Str8-shots. John has a stipulation as all our player agreements do to basically behave and no unsportsmanlike conduct. That is in ANY EVENT, not just TAR. Same rules apply at the US Open or Derby City or any other event. It just so happens based on what we all know there is a higher % of things getting a little out of line with this match than in some other cases.
So to quash the feeling or assumption that John is NOT allowed play the Danny match or he will lose his sponsorship with Str8-shots is not correct. He can play in the TAR match if he agrees to it and wants to etc. That is up to him however he knows the sportsmanship part of his agreement and that is the only part that would put his sponsorship in any kind of danger.

So, I think its clear enough to say that Str8-shots were never trying to stop TAR or take any of TAR's potential profit because Str8-shots had cancelled their event pretty after they had all the facts. After they cancelled it they were willing to compensate them for cancelling the potential match that str8-shots would have produced.

So go ahead Justin, in case you were of the same thought. Make it happen. I know there are a couple of small stipulations on both sided but nothing that can't be handled fairly easy.

I am truly sorry that this whole mess has got so out of control an I know that was never the intention of myself or Str8-shots. I wish Justin and TAR the best of luck and hope the event goes off smooth and profitable for you.

Looks like she has changed her stance some after the backlash on here. Normally st8sghots would have a part in streaming producing etc etc......... Finally the truth comes out.
John was welcome to come to whatever arrangement TAR would want to put forth blah blah.... But that's what all of this is about. If he decided to he would be breaching his contract with st8 shots.

Situations change. Suffice it to say, Str8 Shots no longer seems to be part of the TAR negotiations. They might do something in the future to make us all happy/sad, but that bears little on what we are trying to do now, which is get Danny/John playing...
