Trolling is making a post on the main forum that has nothing to do with pool
It's not something I'd normally post here, but this is the only forum getting attention, and it also has very much to do with pool. Because every pool conversation I start soon turns into a debate like this, where people call each others jerks, trolls and idiots.
Yup. This thread shows you for a troll. Your an admitted beginner but then want to post tips on how to play. when most of them are pointed out to be wrong you get upset. Your not good enough to post how to tips. You should be reading them to gain knowledge because it's obvious you don't know enough to know you don't know anything lol
As I said before, I'm not giving tips on things I know nothing about. I only give my opinion about stuff where I do have some experience. I usually tell how I do it or how I would do it, not that it's the only correct way to do something. Or I simply give an idea about a random topic when I want to get some feedback and hear opinions of others, nothing inflammatory.
Push&Pool is a troll. You have never brought up anything with worth. I have never witnessed anything positive towards your posts. That, in itself, is proof that you are a troll.
I don't know how you define "positive", but what's so negative about my posts? Maybe you're not interested in the topics and that's fine. But calling that trolling and wrecking them isn't.
I gave you a legitimate response and think it was civil.
I have no desire to entertain your attempts to engage me, even less to peruse prior p%p posts.
I'm not trying to engage you, and I'm pleased we can finally talk in a civil manner. Still, I gave you evidence which proves your prior statements wrong. It's up to you if you want to read it or not.
Yeah...every post/thread you write gets discredited for no apparent reason.

It's a post discussing a stroke I use. If you think it's bad, tell me why and correct me, and if you think it's fine, go ahead and say so. But I see no reason to discredit or insult it in such an uncivilized way.
It is commendable that you seek to improve your relations with other posters. That is a great place to start. In general, I would suggest that you pose questions in such a way that they invite answers from others. Specificity helps. For instance,
Is there a general rule of thumb for when to use English? I have read that some people use English on every shot and others state that they very rarely use English. I am not sure how to proceed.
When you receive answers assume the respondent is trying to help you and is providing the best answer they can. Therefore be appreciative of their attempt to help you.
If the respondent is just being a jerk, ignore them and move on to the constructive responses.
When you are misunderstood, apologize for your lack of ability to communicate effectively and try again.
I find it to be mostly true that others are trying to help (when they are not simply trying to be witty). In that sense I too try to provide the best information I can with references for others to consider.
Above all, do not assume that you are "right" about anything. You only have ideas that might be of use to others.
I realize that there are often nasty responses and arrogant people who enjoy aggravating others. There are also some people who are obnoxious because that is simply their way. Try to be polite where necessary and then ignore them when possible.
Incidentally, note how I began this post with finding something commendable in your post. That gets your attention and perhaps places us on a friendlier basis where we can learn from each other. It is a good idea to observe how others post when they have "good" dialogs with the posters. You pick up ideas wherever you find them.
Some excellent posters from whom you can learn much include, Bob Jewett, Dr. Dave, and Mike Page. These are all sophistication individuals with good communicative skills regardless of the comments made by others.
Thanks for understanding me. I've surely been trying to follow this advice from the day I first joined, but I can't ignore flamers and jerks anymore. There's too many of them. Normal, legitimate debate has become impossible. I hope you get what I'm saying.
I'm gonna put it this way for all of you. I'm a banger, an average player with limited skills and knowledge, and I'm fully aware of it. I'm also slowly getting better, but it will take time I don't always have. Despite all the things that happen here every day, I still enjoy participating in pool community and discussion. I'm not your enemy and I don't want you to be mine, but I have my own pool ideas and interests. Some of you may not like them, and I have nothing against that, because after all, we're here to talk, debate and find conclusions together to different questions. I'd only like to keep that debating on a serious, civil level, like normal grown-up people do. We're not some elementary school kids and bullies who only know violence, let it be verbal or physical. I also like jokes, humor, sarcasm, parody, it all makes these otherwise monotonous debates funny and interesting. But when joking becomes ridiculing, and irony turns to rude insulting, we can no longer do anything constructive on this forum. The number one rule of debating is and always has to be giving logical and legitimate arguments to everything. That's what I hoped to find here and it's something I still hope to see more than twice a month.
