Trying to keep within the question, I want to say there was a pretty big package delivered in one of the early Race to 100 TAR matches recorded. Obviously Justin would know.

If things were maintained up to the standards of the old days,there SHOULD be a video of Eric Durbin running a 12 on a bar table against Hennessee at The Rack in Memphis.
Eric also had a 6 ball out in the 7 handed,100 a man ring game and then ran 7 racks unfinished,because they either quit or were busted and HAD to :grin-devilish:.
That was Shane-like. At the time,I honestly thought Eric played better than Corey Deuel.
I heard John Schmidt say in the first Shane/Alex race to 21 Shane ran an 8 against Corey,and he ran another 8 against Alex in the race to 100. Tommy D.

I have that match as well. It's from Reno and I believe Buddy Hall was doing commentary but can't remember who else was in the booth. Great run though. He makes some amazing outs in the run!!

I just watched the DVD again and it was a 13-1 final, 8-pack by Danny, I was confused, sorry for the misunderstanding.
No problem. Danny was a helluva player, and I was lucky enough to play him myself.

I'm surprised more haven't been mentioned. After all, virtually everyone on here claims to have run 8-12 packs at some time or other. I thought this thread would be full of their youtube videos.
i remember, about 10 years ago, Antonio Gabica ran 11 or 12 straight racks against Dennis (winner's break). When it was Dennis' turn (after being pinned to his chair for a long time), he scratched on his second shot on that rack. Then he swore on national TV, and everybody was laughing including him. He lost to Gabica 17-3.

Danny was a hometown favorite for many years in Colorado, and he had it all going at one time.
As soon as Danny got back to Denver he told us about it out at Tournaments and said he ran 9. That's where I had it in my head from. The run in the first game + 9 = 10.
In his head it was run in first game + 8 = 9 I guess.
Even though I have watched the match several times I never realized it was only 8. Easy to confuse.
Might want to check out this years swanee. I am pretty sure orcullo ran 10+ in the finals but I could be wrong.

Also adding to the confusion, the announcers Mark & Buddy continually said "9-racks, tying the MPBA record set by Ishmael Perez"
8-pack. The first rack was run off of Busta's foul break. A 9-pack would have meant he ran out the set.
