There is no other side to Lee's post. He wasn't working for BB ball sets. You guys air-barreled him and didn't give him an option for future payment, an option for smaller weekly partial payments until he was paid in full -- nothing.
BB basically said --- "Not paying ya" -- at which time Lee panicked and asked for anything that could be used to sell and put gas in his car and BB made him sign a paper under duress stating it was payment in full.
If there's a different side to Lee's post, have BB scan his pay stubs (the checks that were actually provided to Lee and were cashed) and post them in this thread. Show us the other side to the story.
Show us how much Lee was paid in U.S. DOLLARS versus BB ball sets. Was he paid for 2 weeks and then the BB sets were the balance?
If it's $1k/week x 6 weeks, are you saying the other side to Lee's story is that BB DIDN'T rape him blind by forcing him to sign a paper saying payment in full when he took a few BB sets for the balance of $4k??????

So Larry (or whoever) took advantage of Lee by allowing him to move forward like that instead of just merely throwing the guy a $50 bill and telling him to relax, put gas in his car, feed himself and come back tomorrow to discuss how we can keep you sustained until we acquire our upcoming funding. Larry COULDN'T WAIT to give him BB sets to clear off the 4-figures owed. It's called leveraging and taking advantage of someone under duress.
Just to add---- Larry should have just GIVEN those balls to Lee as a kick-back for sustainment. The fact that Larry made him sign a paper stating "payment in full" says a lot about his character. In that position, I'd never do that to someone -- employee or contractor. I'd give them something out of my own pocket before robbing them like that.
What would impress me is if Larry would put two milliseconds of thought into Lee's situation and reverse the roles in his mind, if he would feel whole and treated fairly. Everyone gets stressed and blows it -- Lee was freaking because you guys didn't pay him (which he was COUNTING on, clearly) and MAYBE....just MAYBE... Larry isn't really a scumbag and got rattled when Lee got rattled and acted out of instinct and frustration. It would impress me if Larry would be the BIGGER MAN.... put his best foot forward.... and simply pay Lee for the work he performed. At least then he could clear his conscience and do the RIGHT thing and move BB forward down a path of integrity rather than "Lee asked for balls... we gave him balls...case closed."
And while you're at it -- impress the audience here by paying Mike Howertown.... you guys never even gave him balls... you just flat-out didn't pay the invoice forever.

While Steve is taking the heat in this discussion, and likely has no bearing on resolving any of these issues, rest assured that some others from BB are reading this. They know all about all of these issues.
They just choose not to address them.

The vast failing of AZ as a community is the lack of empathy. Those that were not wronged, for some reason, can only post for themselves. Weird place.

She is not venting. She is having an open public discussion regarding what is owed to her with the only person at BB who is actively addressing the issue of BB monies owed. Her point to you (I think) is that had you been the one owed the monies, its highly probable that you would be "venting too", and you know what? She's right.
