Isn't it SJD and not SHD? your right he did forget your name.

He is phonetically correct......
....and I think it was deliberate

I am surprised more did not notice !..Is it really a huge surprise that Wil-ey Coyote would spell, Jose,..'Ho-say' ?..
And NO, it was NOT deliberate..the 'Joyote'...really is that dense !

.it was the most amazing thing I've seen in years-thought I had been transported.....

He's from Texas....give em a break :ok:

Texas is the place to be for pool these days, and Ft. Worth is the "center" of it all.

Rusty's is bursting with action these days. I had a guy come in tonight wanting to gamble high - took the 5/6/7/8/9 and the break and blew a LARGE figure......it was the most amazing thing I've seen in years. I thought I had been transported back to 1986 again. :D

I wish SHD could have been there, some of the "older" players still remember him, I guess he lived around Ft. Worth for a few years.

Texas is the Teacher

It's like a "nightmare"

Dick, I have enjoyed reading you for over four years, you are one 'sic' puppy. Going into year five your sic wit was too overwhelming and they had to put you on the bench. 'No chance' Dicks not a bench player.

I have a question concerning One Pocket and a specific skill involved.

I have a question concerning One Pocket and a specific skill involved. The aspect of my game that I most want to improve is my Caroms, do you have a system to see these angles precisely?

I have Hoppe's book on Billiards and found some really interesting techniques concerning caroms and creating angles (he advised the "no spin" approach). He also used a cue that was 54" for Straight Rail and 55" for Three Cushion, I didn't "real eyes" this before.

You must have been great at caroming balls to reach your level of One Pocket. Is there any drills or suggestions to improve in this skill rapidly?

I gotta stop reading AZ in public.

I think they're calling security....

Yes Mr. Wil-ey, Caroms were indeed my favorite shot, in fact, I don't remember ever missing one !..I would be glad to share this skill with you but, much like off-angle combinations, (which I also never missed) it is a God-given talent few possess !

As you know, I abhor practicing so I don't have any drill bits to offer you...In fact, I don't even own a drill !..My advice is to just keep working on them, until you get the hang of it...Shouldn't take more than 2-3 weeks ! :o

SJD

If it will help, I can offer you some tips on how I trained my parakeet to smoke !

I tried out Hoppe's system and it works like a charm.

I tried out Hoppe's system and it works like a charm. Thanks anyway.

Those guys (in Hoppe's day) would run hundreds playing Balkline Billiards, that's pretty strong. Efren's a good carom player and is the world's best "One Rail" Billiards player, I figure that's why he plays One Pocket the way he does, there's a lot of similarity.
