Mile High Billiards,Arvada Colorado

I found the big table to be frustrating at first when I was warming up, but after acclimating I found the tables to play honest. Because of my work schedule, it was my first time on any big table in quite a while. Ended up catching a gear as the night wore on and enjoyed the hell out of it! Spin wasn't biting into the rails very well, but that gets better with time.
I don't remember what the hrs are, but Greg is doing a flat rat of $10 for a good portion of the day to start with and see how it goes. He said if the tables end up always full that he might change it up a bit in the hopes of freeing up the tables.
See how it goes I guess.

I'll stop in there tomorrow night to take a look. I come to Denver once or twice a month. Just stopped at Felts tonight. Not a huge fan so hopefully I'll like Mile High a little better.

Sounds like a great room! I should be in there Saturday night, after Thanksgiving. I'll be stopping for a few hour layover from driving, on my way to San Francisco. Looking forward to meeting some AzBrs.

Well, I played at Mile High Billiards for 5 Hours last night, while taking a much-needed break from driving to San Francisco. Played some one hole with the owner, Gregg. Nice guy and has a nice room with all Diamonds, nicely spaced. I played on the tight pocket 9 ft. I was sorry to miss any AzBrs. Great place, and I recommend it to all players.

I was there all day Saturday for the tournament. Made the 80 mile drive from Colorado Springs. Very nice place with plenty of room between tables. Good seating too. Food was good with decent prices but drink prices were a little higher than other places I frequent. I'll be back at the end of the month for the next tournament.

What kind of tournament? # of players? Entry fee?

One of the league operators runs a monthly handicap tournament. $40 .(includes green fees) entry plus a calcutta. 64 players. Handicaps are 7-15. 7/8 in one bracket of 16, 9/10's in another, 11/12's, and 13-15. Top 4 from each bracket go back for the finals on Sunday. All finalists are in the cash. It was very well run I thought. Must play in at least 2 of the monthly tournaments to be eligible for the end of year tournament. Cash added to the end of year.

OK some pics

Here are a few.

I stopped by on saturday to see a few friends that were playing in Rich's tourney and I have to agree. I think it is the nicest pool hall in denver and I plan to move my teams from lils place to mile high next session if possible.

From Denver

My wife is from Denver and I can't wait to go visit in Christmas so I can check out this establishment.

2nd nicest for me.Felt is better.
Felt has more tables, their own kitchen so you can get a variety of food plus breakfast-a lot more space and full size Diamond tables that do not have stupid tight pockets.
The plus side for me is that Mile high is a 10 minute ride versus Felt which is 25 minutes. But with all that said Mile High is a very nice room.
And it would be an excellent place to move your teams to.
