Remember Darren Appleton, Karl Boyes and Chris Melling came from the game of UK 8ball (as well as snooker)
I know when Americans come over and see UK 8ball they think it's a Mickey Mouse game, small balls on a small table etc
The balls are smaller, but the pockets are also way smaller and with 15 balls on a small table, you really need to learn precise cueball control and position

I agree. If USA got a few rolls early on, it could have been a close event. Also like the idea of some money matches... esp with Earl involved.Pool like most sports at the elite level is a confidence thing
Europe has it in spades
USA are playing scared
Could have been so different had USA got off to a better start
