looking for a investor in pool

exactly...

WOW, I need that guy, I paid $1500 through my attorney, I opted for the attorney route because they understand how to describe the product better then I do, use big words and stuff. I found that having an patent attorney is well worth it. oh, and my utility patent is going to be around 7k

it's not that guy, it's yourself. You have to be comfortable writing it up yourself and making sure you get all your ducks in a row in legalese.

For a provisional it's not that big a deal. All a provisional does is get the gist of it down and gives you protection and a starting date for the idea for when you file the actual utility patent. I would strongly suggest going through a patent attorney and paying the additional expense for the actual utility patent.

If only I had a dollar for every time someone came on here and begged for something.

I think Jamison Neu and his pool-marijuana products website and forum was ultra cool. He knows the target audience well.

i have a invention for pool, that i have just protyped.

If anyone knows of any investors that would be interested in my invention. I will take care of you after the deal.

Sorry i will not discuss the invention. This has been something i have worked on the last 3 years.

I will say about 50% of pool players in the world will buy my invention.

please pm through here thankyou.

So you are asking a AZ member to invest. Good luck! And like a true pool player/enthusiast ?Ill take care of you after the deal"

Ha frigging ha!

--Jeff

absolutely... you can start selling now. Thanks Jaden for bringing that patent info to light, it's been a long time since I did mine.

Stay with whatever it is and don't let others opinions discourage you. Who knows all these negative people here may be like the people who laughed at the guy who invented plastics when they had a chance to invest in it. I wish you success in what ever it may be.

thanks jrackman, i dont let opinions bother me, if i did i would have never even gotten past phase one.

I cant wait to see what happenes in 2 years, i think a lot of people here are going to be surprised how this game is going to change.

I will keep your PM to me confidential, but I think you will find that amount of capital you are asking for without disclosing any real information on what the invention is (without giving away the total secret) to be very high and risky. You have 5 posts on here and no history/credibility...not that it's your fault on this, it's just you have been a member for months with no posts. I assume you are mostly a lurker on here which is cool too. You may find the right person and if you do good luck.

Here are some items that 100% of all pool players need to use, in no particular order:

1/ Pool cue
2/ Chalk
3/ Leather tips
4/ Cue case (99%)
5/ Pool Table

Besides these items, I cannot think of anything else that even 25% of all pool players need to have/use.

A good aiming system?

Isn't there a television program that does an evaluation and investment program on new ideas/products? I either saw it on the telly or the Internet, where a group of savvy people get together and evaluate and invest in the project or explain why they won't.

GOOD LUCK. Like some have shared, get it to market and do it yourself. Just make sure you have lots of margin in the value of the product. Selling volume? If you plan on selling through the wholesalers you'd better have some handsome margins built in.

I would be surprised to discover that more than 50% of people that play pool own any equipment whatsoever, not even a cue.

spimp13 i understand about having credibilty

actually in the last 5 months I have been working countless hours on this invention and other ideals. When i made this post i didnt really think about all the responses i was just so happy to see something i made worked. I feel like i can touch my goal but it is across the world.

JoeyA
I would love to go on that tv show omg

voiceofreason
i did not say 50% of people that play pool
I said 50% of pool players
although this invention does not have to revolve around pool it can be used for other items actually

To everyone here thank you for your interest in frunding my invention, i am currently seeking other ways of funding my ideals and inventions, mostly due to the fact i dont know you and you dont know me. I dont want anyone to think this is a scam in anyway, and i dont want to be scammed.

Although i hope to develop some trust and friendship with the azbilliards community. My intentions are for the better of game, playes and host of the sport, which i was willing to take a loss on one invention to support other ideals and inventions.

Go get 'em, BBL. You're having fun even if you don't make a dime.

I've got about 15 pool inventions I've done over the past few decades but I mostly just use 'em for my own purposes. I give some away and use some of those for free to help my team, etc. One of those, though, would be good for close to 100% of people playing pool and it would work as an excellent, proven advertising tool, too, but...

To be honest, I was just busting your chops a bit. I honestly thought with a name BBL, that it was a Bonus Ball League joke.

Any one that will put themselves out there, and try to make a nut for themselves, I have nothing but respect. I would be intrigued to hear from you via PM.

All the best,

...Who knows all these negative people here may be like the people who laughed at the guy who invented plastics when they had a chance to invest in it...

Now, you listen to me! I don't want any plastics, and I don't want any ground floors, and I don't want to get married - ever - to anyone!

Snapshot™ Premium Metal Cue Stick Ferrules

As the inventor of the Snapshot™ Patent Pending Ferrule I can tell you from experience that you will have an expensive and lengthy venture. I have spent tons of money on research, development, prototypes, patent and trademark fees, advertising, website etc. to get to this point with my idea. Although metal ferrules are not new my Snapshot™ Ferrule is composed of a special formula blending rare metals and elements and are not just cut from a piece of tubing. I have 2 patents pending on the Snapshot™ Ferrule and the formula is a trade secret. Each one is individually die cast under extreme heat, diamond polished and Laser etched. They are extremely scratch resistant and will not fade, peel or crack. Research is critical and an attorney will eat up a lot of money. I wish you luck going forward.
Please visit my website for further information CueFerrules.com. BTW free shipping to US addresses and discounts up to 20%.

Perhaps all of the pool people could make a run at the tv show at one time. That would certainly put a twist on the show. All pool inventions....

Save your money. Patents are not so hot if you don't have enough to produce your thing, you don't have enough to fight it in courts.

Just make the thing and get it out there first and market it best.

imho,

Jeff Livingston

PS Here's a patent attorney who argues against getting patents: http://www.stephankinsella.com/
Great advice Jeff! Always nice to see links to Austrian economists here :D
Key is being first, best and making your brand synonymous with the product. Competitors will have to play catch up. If the product isn't too expensive, most won't bother trying to save a few bucks on an unknown brand equivalent.
