proline 505 worsted cloth

I've played on it right after installed on an 8 foot table in a garage. It wasn't the fastest cloth I've played on, but it was ok. It was humid in the garage as well if that changes anything. From my experience with it I would go with Simonis over this stuff, but that's just my opinion.
Have you checked the price on Simonis lately Simp? $300 roughly for a 8 ft table.
7' I have seen close to $200-235 depending on the site. Hard to justify that $$$ while ours is still playable (just dirty). Thinking all I can to do prep my game for 2014
$300 for a 8' table, that's nuts. Add the mechanic and your looking at $500-$600 depending on the mechanic and if rail have to be done. Simonis is good cloth...but not that good. Simonis sponsors a lot of pool and should be supported, but me thinks their over doing their pricing a bit...a big bit. Johnnyt
Championship 30/30 for my 9' I think was $300ish.
$300.00 might be a lot for cloth but how much does it cost to buy something cheap and find out you made a mistake then pay $300.00 for cloth plus labor just to do what you should have in the first place.
This is true. Like my Dad use to say, "It only cost a little more to go first class for a one time thing". I might have pulled the trigger on Simonis a little too quickly as I just remembered that I had the last cloth I put on my old Valley in the box for over a year and this new Valley I had came with Champion Tour Edition with just one tournament on it. So I really don't know how much all brands have gone up in way over a year. Johnnyt
To be fair my good friend is a table mechanic, and charges me very little if any to install. That being said, i've played on $300 simonis that played like absolute dog shit, and $100 no name that wasn't terrible. The installation of cloth is half the battle, but there is now substitute for premium cloth installed properly.
The worst cloth is the stuff that you have to shave every morning, the kind that looks like shag carpeting. One place in our league has cloth like that, when the balls roll slowly you can actually see it following the marbles in the cloth left & right.:yikes:
The price of wool keeps rising, the Proform shows wear easier,plays fast and is great for price. Nothing compares to simonis860 and 860HR is a beast.

I've installed velocity,aramith,Proform,le qi 668,3030,860 and 860HR on poolroom tables.
Velocity and aramith have come n gone but Proform is here to stay.
Proform is your best bang for the buck when it comes to a lower priced worsted cloth.

I have Proform that I installed on my table. (I thought that the OP was meaning something else when he said proline)
Proform is good for the money. It's not Simonis but it is pretty good worsted cloth. Mine relaxed a little about 2 months after I installed it but that was a easy fix. It's not quite as fast as Simonis but is still plenty fast.
I would rather have Simonis if price wasn't a factor but I don't regret my choice.
